Say a strip club wanted to offer an NIL deal to Longhorn football players and have them dance with Jeff Banks' monkey to raise money. Any issues with that?

Per the Texas NIL Statute (SB 1385):

"...may not enter into a contract for the use of the student athlete's name, image, or likeness if in exchange for an endorsement of alcohol, tobacco products, e-cigarettes or any other type of nicotine delivery device, anabolic steroids, sports betting, casino gambling, a firearm the student athlete cannot legally purchase, or a sexually oriented business as defined in Section 243.002, Local Government Code"

I'm sure 1/2 the men in Austin would have no issue with that.

In all seriousness ... I am surprised how as a football program this offseason they seem to have pivoted focus away from both the monkey and Jayhawk incidents. Impressive that neither seems to be that big of an issue.
I guess money cures all, including winning.
