I find it odd that Vegas doesn't think the SEC will be going after any of the NC or Va schools. I would have thought Va Tech or Va or the Tarheels would have made the list.

They left Bishop Sycamore off the list. Should be top 3 easily.

Clemson and NC would be my choices hands down

The tough part of that bet is multiple schools could be offered at once and accept roughly at the same time. Clemson and Fl St would most likely be a "package" deal and how the bet is worded could get dicey.

However they may not accept at the same time.

Baylor was so overrated. An amazing home schedule and Ole Miss' entire offense got hurt early in the SB

The wager is for "accepts" an offer… Not who gets offered first…

Why would we add teams that reduce the overall payout?

The odds makers aren't only looking at who the SEC would want, they are also considering who would accept - the SEC very well might want UNC/UVA/VT but this is telling me that Vegas agrees that UNC and UVA are likely either out or will drag feet because of "academics" and VT would be farther down the list that it wouldn't be the first to accept next - even if eventually offered. For what it's worth - and I don't think it's much - the Big Ten has "superior" ranked academic institutions. Also, I don't care.

Lol.

Our defense would've given Bohanon nightmares last year. That guy has a noodle for an arm.

And no fan could possibly say anything negative about Calzada? All three of these teams would have beaten us decisively last year.

Sorry guys, it's really not the SEC anymore. It's fine to call it that but once this thing goes to 16,18,20 teams…

It's just not the same.

My guess, based on nothing at all, is that the B1G ends up with Notre Dame, Virginia, Duke and North Carolina.

The SEC will take Clemson, Virginia Tech, Florida State and Miami.

Everyone will be happy with their additions, and the money will be about the same. The SEC will continue to dominate football and baseball.

The leftovers will combine on their own.

Is 10 points decisively? Because that was our biggest loss last year. You're a fool to say that. I don't even think Baylor or OSU beat us at all last year.

its worded that a school must accept. whether it's a package or not doesnt affect the bet or the wording.

If both accept, you win both. if neither accepts, you lose both. If you pick one that accepts, you win. Now, if it's a package deal, then one can't accept, even if only one wants to.

We would not have lost to Cincinnati last year even as bad as we were.

Incorrect. You failed to answer in the form of a question.

"Must accept invitation in 2022" is a key phrase, here. Offer + public acceptance within 6 months time. Looks like they're hung up on the ACC buy out being too high for immediate action.

The SEC has gotten too big. Conference members should be able to play each other with some east west rotation and at least one game reserved for out of conference marquee opponents.

Those are sucker bets. If, somehow, the ACC schools get out of their GoR, Clemson and FSU won't be able to accept our bids fast enough.

They give Baylor better odds of joining the SEC than they do Washington joining the Big 10. Neither will happen. Unless Notre Dame decides to move (and, contractually, I don't think they can), this round is probably over at the top (SEC and Big 10), and nothing happens at the lower levels (ACC, Big XII, Pac-?) is going to change that.

So when all this is done, there will be the SEC. B1G and maybe a PAC-Big12. What about all the left over ACC schools? Doesn't make sense to me to have a power 3.
Soon the only reality of these Conference changes will be for Football.
Someone is going to realize there are lots of Basketball Schools, Baseball too that can compete and add lots of value.
