Yes, I'll say 3-4. But I also thought that about last month. That said I'm even more confident in July.

I don't follow recruiting as close as many of you...but from what i hear we don't have a lot of scholarships open this year.
Perhaps because of this Jimbo is being very deliberate and selective.
So maybe you won't hear too much for now.

I heard we might have to greyshirt our current commits and go with an entire 12th Man kickoff recruiting class.

He absolutely is going to be more selective, but I don't think that's why we don't have guys yet. I'm also absolutely not worried. Jimbo showed complete competence last year and I still trust in him now. What's bizarre to me is that people are freaking out because they're comparing us to tu. I don't know why they want to compare us to a team with a team that fired a head coach, did worse with the new one, and still lost to Kansas.

Every one of our Top 10 recruits from the class of 22, with the exception of Weigman, did not commit until Nov, Dec, and Feb...... I know its hard to watch, but Jimbo is the best closer in the business, or close to the best. It's probably best for your own sanity to not follow it for a few months...

I know that it is hard to watch other schools racking up recruits, but please understand that........

1. we aren't going to take a large class this year. We only have 8 scholarship seniors on this team. 2-3 more may leave early for the NFL. We don't have a lot of ships available to give out and Jimbo & Co. and in the hunt for some big recruits who have yet to announce.
2. It's early July. A season has yet to be played. There will be LOTS of decommits between now & signing day. Lots of variables & it's not unusual to see 17 year old kids change their mind on a weekly basis. Guarantee that 2-3 kids in this class that we are not reading about now will end up signing with the Ags. Momentum changes from week-to-week.
3. Jimbo has a history of closing strong. I expect him to repeat this history, especially with a solid season in 2022. We are finalists for quite a few National recruits & we saw how things went last year.....
4. NIL. Aggies likely won't get outbid for the players that they deem imperative for this class] overall success..

Every year we see these posts in early July. Some day it will get figured out.

Just look at my tape. Should easily be 5 star.

IMO, I believe we take at least 25 new players this year. It may be through Class of 23 or transfer portal. I don't know how it gets done but I believe it will. It's the nature of the business in today's college football.

You're saying a smaller class….how much smaller? Seems like we'd be getting some room with some of the attrition and such a small class of seniors. Anything below 20 would suck!
