Our DL is about to be rotating 5 stars every play. Interesting that we have so many high profile DL coming in at once.

There's bound to be attrition. Got to be.

It is hard to tell. Hoping we can keep the momentum. Will be important to have a good year. Too soon (and not enough yet) for a natty, but will be very important on sustaining the recruiting success.

If we land Overton in the 2022 class, our record for total composite score is going to stand for a long time.

I don't know, if our new DC and DL coach rotate guys often there will be plenty of playing time to go around. The attrition may be from the previously recruited guys who may not be as talented.

Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton 2022 five-star defensive lineman Lebbeus Overton will announce his college decision on Friday on ESPN2 at roughly 3pm EST during halftime of the Geico National High School Basketball Tournament.

The 6-foot-4 1/2, 265-pound Overton took official visits in March to Oregon, Georgia and Texas A&M. That was his first trip to Eugene. He has maintained a strong relationship with new Ducks head coach Dan Lanning from his time spent at Georgia. Overton has been to nearby Athens numerous times and College Station four times as a prospect (he was born there) including this past weekend. He was slated to take officials to see the Buckeyes and Sooners for their respective spring games in April but has canceled those plans.

Would he develop better at his high school, or in a major college program over the next year? Also, if he stayed until 2023, he couldn't sign until this fall. Changing to 2022, he can sign now.

Get him in, turn all the 5* DL loose, and let the chips fall how they fall.

The pessimist in me thinks it's more likely he doesn't play and therefore will end up transferring as a member of the class of 2022 than it would be if he was a 23.

LT is a different breed. Even in the midst of a ridiculous DL class. Will there be attrition down the road? Probably. But it won't be LT.

Some of you ladies need to stop overreacting and watch his film before you start crying... there's a reason he's still a 5 star even a year younger!

Maybe, but so what? We are bringing in a bunch of elite DL prospects. The top players play, the others transfer to make more room for the next class and the circle of life continues.

Nobody is being a baby or crying haha I was simply saying with all the goons in the 2022 DL class it woulda been nice to have this guy locked down in 2023. That said I will never complain about having too many 5 star guys and didn't intend for it to come across as such.

Georgia is about to have 5+ guys from last years front 7 picked very high in the NFL draft next month.
Proof positive that playing with studs around you only helps your chances.

Maybe so, but you saw the Dawgs playing all of their top dogs on D - rotating out a few 5-stars and rotating a few more in. If we could get to that level with competent QB play - wow. Imagine being a DB behind that D Line.

While I'm exciting seeing program built the right way, the trenches take priority, nothing surprises me anymore with the transfer portal and being able to play right away somewhere else.

Two or three of the guys are gone after first year.

Three crystal balls to A&M and one to OU. The OU pick is from an "OU Insider" with a 2022 accuracy rate of 28.57%.

The three picking A&M have 2022 accuracy rates of 90.00%, 94.3%, and 97.06%.

I am optimistic.
