TLDR:
  • Says he wants to be at AZ & win super bowl
  • Believes that to do so, they need "stability" for himself and AZ
  • They submitted a contract proposal that lowers his 22-23 salary cap to resign other teammates and bring in free agents BUT also provides him with "financial protection" and "is in-line with the current QB market." (aka he will likely get more guaranteed over time even if his cap is lower in 22-23)
  • Up to AZ now to prove their commitment to winning and to Kyler (since Kyler is being given the most credit for their improvement the last few years)

I could not agree with this statement more. I've taken a pay cut to bring on a good salesperson in order to open up another revenue stream for my company. Sometimes you need to take one step back in order to take two steps forward. Not sure why more QBs think this way. Restructure your contract so your team can afford to bring on one more lineman or one more slot receiver.

You could look at it as 1KM... Intented stylization.

Or you could see it as iKUM (the U is in the white space, slanted to the right at a 45 degree angle).

The logo has a lot of parody potential. It looks like a closed fist, so adding an extended middle finger would not take much effort. Of course, the E added to the end would be easy. Extending the last vertical in the M and then curving it back to form an underline the full length of the logo in the shape of a sled would be a nice touch.

Brady leaves the NFL after making nearly 1/2 billion in salary and endorsements. That's about +100 million more than his wife. But don't let facts get in the way.
