I recall Aki starting the first few games this season but disappeared after that. Was he injured, or not performing well? Is he someone we can count on this year?

Also, will Jake Matthews ever be a factor?

Yeah, Jake has been starting for the Falcons for several years now.

Luke Matthews was hurt all year

Aki played awful, so Kenyon got moved over to guard once Fatheree was ready to start
Cheating ass refs are the real pandemic

No, he will never be a factor.

I still think Aki will be a player for us. He'll have more and more competition for a job, but I think he will step up.

Luke Matthews is pretty much an urban legend at this point.

I think the real question is whether Luke will play next year for A&M, medically retire, or transfer? I could see any of the three happening. Feel for the kid given all the injuries he's fought through.

Absolutely no family connections, just MY guess.

With the family legacy, I Would not be surprised if he doesn't want 1 good year. And May think he needs that to get a chance to play on Sunday's.

Tried to check, but there does not seem (today) to be a team roster for the spring.

Haven't watched any tape on him lately, but Aki wasn't very good at guard.

It's 7:32 (assuming you are in Texas)

It's Saturday night

This is the question you have so pressing you post it on the internet?

You my friend have either a great life or none…

Luke has the ability, he'll play this year and be great. Just stay healthy!

I would be shocked if the kid actually thinks he has a chance to play on Sundays. He hasn't played in four seasons and we had 2 guys last year who were three year starters and they could barely sniff the NFL.

Aki must step his game up. He was especially lacking as a puller. He was serviceable in other phases. Fatheree was just very good and has an even higher ceiling. Plus, Jhamir was lacking in pass pro. Kenyon was able to help at LG.

I would not sell on aki yet. Spring ball should be telling.

The only people who know whether Matthews is any good are in the bright center.
