Maintains his 5* status. It's pretty unusual for a player not to drop more after reclassifying. Goes to show how dominant this kid is. LT is different. To say the least. It means something for the recruiting services to move him to a class that has an entire year of development on him, and still rank LT up there with the likes of Walter Nolen, Shemar Stewart, etc.
And yeah, would I rather see him commit to the 23 class? Maybe. I mean, we've already pulled in the greatest DL class of all time, and he'd be a great add to the next cycle. But he wants to play college ball now, and he's probably ready, in all fairness. What are you going to say to the most dominant defensive lineman in the 23 class (and ESPNs #1 overall player in the 23 class)? No?
Of course not. Letting LT jump on board is a no brainer If he wants in. This one will be a battle with UGA. Kirby will work hard to keep him home, but I know for a fact that our recruiting staff really likes where we stand here.
Just when we thought we were done, Jimbo is looking to bring in the EIGTH five star of the cycle.
Unreal.
