Just a thought---maybe Patterson was taking some time off to test out the head coaching market or to just spend time away from the fray for a while. I heard someone say that Kirby Smart is fed up with recruiting for Georgia and wants to go back to being a DC but they can't announce it yet. It was me that I just heard say that, so take it with a grain of salt.

I agree wholeheartedly, but it was a very interesting suggestion at the least. Hadn't even considered that a possibility.

I'd take Patterson any day. He put together solid defenses with purple baylol talent. Imagine him with our riches. Goodness.
