I know very little about Pitt. Jimbo hasn't done fantastic with our QB situation, but breaking in a new OL likely made the difference in a game or two.

You're right. Calzada is one of the worst Qbs in college football. But he's what we had.

I love Jimbo! I really do! Just baffled that in his 5th year we have a walk on starting qb as our back up. And Pitt is playing their #3 qb (because of injuries) against #10 Michigan State and he's winning?? Baffling. That's all

Not his 5th year. You have no reason to believe he will start though for the sake of continuity he is the current starting QB. Haynes should be fine in the spring plus a Weigman plus Max Johnson.

The carping is old and tired. Maybe it says more than your words do…

A&M's backup qb beat Alabama in a conference matchup. Pitt's third stringer lost to Michigan st in an exhibition game. One game windows probably aren't great indicators either way

I know very little about Pitt. Jimbo hasn't done fantastic with our QB situation, but breaking in a new OL likely made the difference in a game or two.
Their offensive line consist of 3 RS Seniors, 1 RS Junior and a Grad Transfer. I agree - having an experienced Oline could have played a difference in a couple early games
