He didn't land out of bounds though. At least not according to the ref. He made the signal to wind the clock.

It looked like they got it right. IMO, the player caught the ball then landed in bounds before out of bounds. First down with 2 seconds. 2 seconds is not enough to spike the ball with time left after setting the ball.

According to the play in first half that Coastal Carolina was out of bounds to be able to hit a field goal with 10 seconds and zero timeouts might have led QB to think differently

The odd part was the ref standing there not letting them snap it. I know they do that to keep teams from going super fast, but I've never seen that at the end of a game
