He would've been the #1 recruit without ANY competition even close at UT. He would probably get QB NIL money for being the star of the team. He would've signed with every car dealership in the state. All he's saying is that he won't have a monopoly on NIL deals here.

You have tu on the brain. He's talking about UT (University of Tennessee) - the school that was recruiting him and in his final two to choose from. Also, by the way, UT was the school Jeremy Pruitt just left that got smacked for handing out McDonald's bags of cash to recruits.

What I love about this, though, is how tactfully a (presumably) 18-y.o. kid disses another program, lauds ours, and defends his integrity and love for the game. He's already a great representative for our university.

I think he knows he will receive ample NIL money from us even if it's not a ridiculous sum and he can also be a part of getting A&M to the top.
It's not like he's having to choose between some crazy sum of money and meal money.
