Team ranking per Rivals:

2019. #6
2020. #6
2021. #6
2022. #2 (so far)

That, my friends, is what it takes to compete with the top teams. We're in rarified air. Gig 'em!

The last place I'd rely on is Rivals for unbiased recruiting rankings.

Unless you meant "stacking asses", then ok.

And that #4 is ACTUALLY a #3. That was the year the horns signed Bru McCoy(a 5 star)but he left a few days later. They were #3 but got whacked down to #7 after he left, moving us up to #3.

Do a little math. The 4 classes average are all but identical. Now I remember why I miss agtimes.com.

Also, wasn't that the year that the sips, last minute, mysteriously kept moving up just until they passed us, then stopped? Without even getting any more commits? That was really weird, IIRC. And I think Billy said people nationally were saying, WTF?

So, before the season started, were you a calzada guy or a king guy? The talent is there, but it's hard to overcome a season ending injury to your QB and expect to be successful. If you recall, we were orange bowl champs last year, and with King healthy, we would have at least been in the sugar if not CFP this year. Stfu with that garbage

Almost as if 9-1 and an orange bowl win 11 months ago didn't happen to some of you. So basically, it's one 8-4 year we've had with highly rated classes on campus, and with ton of injuries including our qb. The first two years our recruiting was middle of the pack in the sec which equates to 8-5/9-4

Ask yourself as honesty as you can. For as miserable as it sounds like you wish to be, what would you guess is our record the last two years if we don't lose our starting qb? We are probably 19-3, or 20-2 the last two years. bama has 4 out of the last 5 top ranked classes, and would have almost assuredly gone 9-3 if they lost Bryce young this year.

Jimbo recruited Calzada. Jimbo made a huge mistake. Jimbo has been riding Mond, signed by Sumlin. Without Mond, we would have been screwed last year and this year because Calzada would have been playing.

Calzada was never expected to be a long term starter or top performer. He was picked up on a short recruiting cycle because most of the top QBs were already committed when Jimbo was hired. Certainly more than a warm body, he was a talented HS QB with a good frame, who could have turned out to be great, but never did.

Those ranking are to compete. Need to be all #1 to win since Alabama and Georgia are above.

Jimbo was hired in 2017. He coached in 2018, year 1. Calzada was a 2019 recruit.

You sure? Calzada didn't play a snap last year that I recall and King took all the backup reps

Yes, that was the year Isaiah Hookfin moved up over 1000 spots after he committed to the sips. Hookfin's other offers were Baylor, Illinois, Minnesota, and Alcorn State. That's not what the offer list of a 4-star OT should look like.

They also had a couple other players who moved up several hundred spots in the rankings, like Tyler Owens. Owens ended up the #3 ranked safety in the country. His other offers were Baylor, Houston, and Boston College. Again, definitely not a typical high 4-star offer list.
