Just reported on 247 he might potentially flip (but not likely) to Deon Sanders at Jackson State?
*Ok, commit to JSU. Just a rumor but they said not likely.

, etc. Then they will get dinged at least 1/2 a round to 1 round in draft status for playing at a SWAC school. Jackson State football falls just short of attendance record at Alcorn gameDr Lane Trowlan said:
Any big time 5* that signs there will regret it. Once the excitement of NSD wears off and you have to go play in dumpy stadiums, with a few thousand people in attendance, and don't have access to first rate nutrition centers and workout facilities, they'll realize they aren't making themselves any better and regret it. The SEC forces you to be better, the SWAC doesn't. They can still play with sloppy technique and just out-athlete their competition. That won't help you come draft time.

how could he flip if he isn't committed anywhere
Yeah but they got a lot of attention on NSD. Isn't that what's important?Dr Lane Trowlan said:

I think every SWAC coach just wont throw to his side of the field...how the hell do you show anything or improve is you are essentially never tested.Detmersdislocatedshoulder said:
I can see how a stud corner could overlook going the traditional route to be coached by Deion sanders. I wouldn't do it but I can see it, I do have a hard time seeing a defensive lineman feeling the same way. I could be wrong but it is not the same thing
If you are good, you're good. There are several players from SWAC schools in the NFL. Not to mention some all-time great players who attended SWAC programs.P.U.T.U said:
Long term I think a lineman going to a small school in a weak conference would be a bad idea, would not be able to develop NFL type skills playing against weak competition. He may be able to throw them around but when he gets to the NFL he may not have the form he needs.

Ed Oliver was a 5 star going into college at UH and still got 5 star money coming out. If you're that dang good, it might not matter where you go to college. That being said, Oliver played across town from an NFL stadium and had easy access to NFL reps coming to town every other week for 3 years. JSU is a decent way away from the nearest NFL teams. Like detmer and others have said, seems odd to commit somewhere ONLY because of the coach, and forgo to benefits of being a star athlete at a major university.

Yeah, he will just transfer to FSU when Deion goes there. Duh
College football is a big revenue sport for good programs. There is a movement ongoing in the black community to try and get elite black athletes to play at HBCU's so that those programs can benefit from the cash cow that is college football (basketball too) and raise the stature of those institutions on the national stage from an athletic standpoint. The revenue will help those institutions in other areas as well.agnerd said:

So we are saying Jackson State has more NIL money than Florida State? That doesn't sound right unless Jeff Bezos is secretly a Jackson State fan.jonj101 said:
Wouldn't be surprised- the recruit they just flipped from FSU is rumored to have got a bag in the millions. With Deion there and NIL money flowing like water I could see kids passing on big programs if they get a bigger paycheck.
