I just assumed their fan base is stupid and wanted a coach who just won an NC 2 years ago fired for having 2 bad seasons.

Was it the fact he likes to hang out with hot 20 year olds?

He caught lightning with Burrow and his coordinators in 2019. They gave him 2 years/chances to get comparable coordinators in place. He did not do that and add in the off-field stuff they moved on. It really does boil down to them not having confidence that he could keep the shrimp boat headed in the right direction.

Just read about the covering up of sexual assault and rape. How the hell could their fans support him after that?

Title IX + Personal Issues

The feeling is that he went a little too off the rails following the national championship. There are also some Title IX items that could derail the program. O is still an LSU employee with access to LSU attorneys for 2 years. It was a mutual agreement to part ways and keep each party protected.

They have a title IX investigation akin to the Baylor stuff. Let me emphasize that they don't actually give a single **** about this. This is the program that let a guy stay on the program after beating up his girlfriend and Les Miles explained it away by saying he let the team vote on whether he could stay or not. They absolutely do not care about anything except winning.

So Coach O starts sucking, and then miraculously they grow a conscience. Well, I mean, they aren't going to actually punish the team or inflict self imposed scholarship reductions or anything else, but they will get rid of the guy that was losing games for them.

That gave them their excuse but LSU was already plotting to take him out

Because LSU is another self absorbed fan base. Fired a coach that was 51-24 in 6 years with a national championship. Their team is young after getting depleted to the draft but they'll be competitive the next 2 years.

They want a Saban. What they don't understand is that Saban is once in a lifetime person. Can't casually pull off what he's doing at Alabama.

Aside from Title IX, there was ALOT of personal issues; one that even included a booster's pregnant wife!

Anyway, his firing sort of helped the Title IX issue b/c as a non-employee, he can't be made to testify, so the dirty laundry remains dirty.

Unofficially, asking a top 5 BMD if his wife and daughter want to have a 3some

Not true He had a bevy of divorces after him (money) that were really attractive. There are plenty of pictures on other threads. Team discourse of a BLM parade he did not attend- one particular blond would come to workouts with her children but the killer was he proposition the wife of a board of regents at a gas station.

Coach O is a recruiting assistant who got coronated. He was always in way over his head.

He inherited a great defensive staff and coordinator. He inherited plenty of offensive talent that was not being deployed effectively.

Huge break 1 was that Burrows developed into a star late in his college career. That rarely happens.

Huge break 2 was that the saints pushed him to hire Brady.

I suspected he was in over his head even as they were winning the title. Last year confirmed it. They had enough talent and a favorable schedule. I expected him to last another year.

Losing to that clown like we did was bitter!

Did he really ask a donors wife and daughter for a threesome?

Yea it seemed like Eaux liked the BR Cougars more than he did LSU coeds.

There is a confirmed story out there that Orgeron hit on a boosters (or admin) pregnant wife at a gas station. When she told him she was Pregnant and married, he responded back with a "so what" type of response lol. Word got back to LSU and they obviously werent too happy about that.

Sounds like Orgeron went crazy after his divorce and was having lots of fun with the local BR talent.

Those Cajun girls are really freaky (married to one!)...I wouldn't put it past them to say yes if he did.

Bottom line. Didn't win enough games. If he'd won 10+games last year he would still have a job

They lost their whole team after 2019. That's what their fan base fails to realize.

Not to mention his records at Ole Miss were 3-8, 4-8, and 3-9. He had nothing to do with 2019 other than hiring a good offensive coordinator. He is not a good coach.

And with that we could not beat them big. Even with the horrible officiating we still should have won. Had it and blew it on three plays in the last 2 minutes. All we had to do is contain the QB, sack him with a continue bull rush, and simply cover in the secondary. The typical loose defense in the secondary killed us.

You'd think they'd know that given that LSU had Saban, and he won a BCS Championship at LSU.

I married into the delusional LSU fan base. Thank god my wife (no rule 1) doesn't care what happens. I hear about it all the time. Idiots can't realize they lost 20 players to the draft in 2020.

They really are a different breed in LA. Serious. Someone could probably get an advanced degree on the genetics involved, but he would get terminated quickly so no takers.
