Simple test to verify your sense of humor.

There is a Chinese fast food restaurant in Austin called "Fire Bowl". If the family eats out, I yell to the kids "who wants to go to Fire Bowel!" and I really punch the bowel. Nobody laughs but but me. I can't tell you how much joy this brings me.

Funny/not funny

I could care less about what bowl we get at this point. I care MOST about beating LSU. IMO, the outcome of the LSU game defines success vs disappointment this year.

Can you imagine the media outcry if LSU wins? The embarasement we will have to endure. The potential impact to recruiting. Tiger fans will be allowed to talk low IQ smack for another 12 months which is a complete nightmare!!

This is a MUST win IMO. Far more important than which bowl we land or even the outcome of that bowl game.

Come on, Zach! We need you buddy! Just manage the game and don't turn the ball over. We can run on LSU and luckily their offense is a great match-up for our defense.

If Zach plays well, we win by 14 pts.

Here's how it could work. The top four are Alabama, winner of The Game (OSU or Mich), Georgia, and Cincinnati. The loser of The Game goes to the Rose Bowl. Oregon loses again to Utah and falls below us, and Utah goes to the Rose Bowl. Notre Dame gets one of the four at large spots. Ole Miss beats Miss St, and goes to the Sugar Bowl against the winner of Bedlam, who also won the Big12. This leaves 3 spots. BYU wins out and takes one. The Big12 takes another (could be Baylor, who didn't play in the Big12 game). Michigan State loses to Penn State and drops below us. Wisconsin loses the Big10 championship game and drops below us. We get the last spot.

I think it's better if Miss st beats Ol Miss by 3 TDs, we beat LSU by 3TDs and I think the committee puts us over Ol Miss.

I know people like to point to the Michigan- Michigan state situation as " well the committee will still rank us ahead.

The committee has been pretty consistent with head to head as it reflects in the rankings.

And if ole miss loses to miss state.. well miss state beat us as well.

So it's for sure not as simple as " we win and ole miss loses " and we jump them

When you hand MSU, ARKY and Ole Miss wins, you don't deserve a NY6 bowl.

If we beat LSU, and win a bowl game (,regardless of bowl), I think it will bode very, very well for next season.

Can confirm Judge is correct. While we can't get to the Sugar unless Ole Miss loses (Sugar takes highest CFP-ranked team not in playoff), there are still 4 at-large spots in the Fiesta and Peach up for grabs.

We almost certainly need one or more teams above us to lose for this to happen. Mich State is probably the most likely to lose again (they have Penn State at home).
