Definitely expected that switch and I expect Ohio st to be number 2 in the playoff rankings as well with bama dropping to 3 and Cincy going to 4

Bama needs to have a really good game against Auburn and beat them soundly. Another pedestrian effort and they could drop out of the top four in the CFP rankings. The eye test and style point become critical in the final stages.

They won't drop out of the top 4 unless they lose to Georgia or auburn

Beat auburn and Georgia and they will be number 1 with Georgia dropping to 2 or 3

Polls are such garbage, this is exactly why we need an expanded playoff.

Oklahoma has a better record than Baylor but Baylor is ranked ahead of them. I completely agree with this since they won head to head. Utah destroyed Oregon last night yet Oregon is still ranked several spots above Utah. The rankings are and have always been a popularity contest.

My guess is Alabama will beat Auburn by 3 touchdowns and then Georgia will do the same to Alabama in the SEC championship. Margin of victory by Georgia will put an end to the 2 loss SEC playoff entry controversy.

Alabama has been flirting with losses several times this year and Georgia will probably hammer it home.

That's possible, although that sets up a possible all SEC championship.

Things are not set in stone yet, though. Even Georgia needs to do the work against GT to achieve a mortal lock on a slot. B1G winner could still be a two-loss Iowa team. Cincy could easily slip up, letting ND slide up. BDF could round-robin its way out of a slot. The only guarantee right now is that the ACC and the Pac-12 are not getting bids this year.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Bama's best win is far superior to Georgia's best win.

Oregon must pay off some pollsters. They are uneven in their schedule, brilliant in some games and nondescript in others, but from their rankings and press reviews you would think they walk on water. And this happens year after year, just like a certain program in Austin.

Yeah, I've had Georgia penciled in as national champs since the early part of the season

They just have that look and feel Of a national championship team

Voters are going by record only and not really able to vote on capability. Just performance on the record. Ags blew it with soft slow start play and penalties. Injuries did not help but that is football. Only thing is to win one more and play in a good bowl game. Finish in top 10

Watch it again. His knee hit the ground and he had control of the ball before going out of bounds. It was a TD.
