I enjoy seeing the next generation of players who are really good but hadn't had a chance to play much. It's like an appetizer to the future.

Buttercream frosting is pretty good on cupcakes

Well I know what sucks about them- apparently you can't watch them on tv.

Best thing is getting to taste different frosting.

Hopefully not having Calzada in the injury tent again.

I enjoy it when my blood pressure is not spiking out of control…

Experience for young guys. Rep things we want to emphasize in future game plans at game speed.

Near zero stress about the outcome is nice once in a while.

I really like playing these kind of cupcakes where we get to keep our money in the system. Funding small school's ADs is cool. PV is going to need it to get to the Celebration Bowl!

If you can watch SECN games you likely have the ability to stream them on your TV. Smart TVs can. Chromecast can. Fire sticks can. Apple TV can. Roku can.

I understand the frustration. But ESPN is planning for a future with a lot more cord cutting.

Seeing a visiting band will be a treat. The Marching Storm will put on a show.

Stanford played an all Power 5 schedule this year. They did beat Oregon, but other than that is is not going well. They lost to Kansas State at jerry World and they beat Vandy in Nashville. They still have to play Notre Dame next Saturday at home.

Getting drunk watching your team kicking ass is a whole lot more fun than getting to drunk to wash away the pain.

Cupcake games allow us to rest our starters and give our backups more playing time. Also, these payout games fund small schools' athletic departments. I just wish these cupcake games were not played in Week 12. In odd years, except for 2013 and 2019, we played a Group of 5 team or FCS team in our final game at Kyle Field. It would be great to play an SEC game in our final home game every year.

Final home games in odd years since joining the SEC
2013: Mississippi State
2015: Western Carolina
2017: New Mexico
2019: South Carolina
2021: Praire View A&M

My ideal schedule would consist of either
A. 8 conference games, 2 non-conference Power 5, 1 Group of 5, 1 FCS
B. 9 conference games, 1 non-conference Power 5, 1 Group of 5, 1 FCS

I love B. But, keep the FCS team in the state or preferably in the system.

• While true to a certain degree, PVAMU got this stadium mainly via donations from their alumni and students (with minimal help from TAMUS):

PV is going to need it to get to the Celebration Bowl!

• All PVAMU needs to do to secure this bowl bid is to win the SWAC championship where the SWAC gets one million dollars.

Knowing we are going to handle them the way we should. This is with Jimbo at the helm because under Sumlin even the cupcakes made me nervous. Just getting to watch a game where you know the outcome because you have a head coach that has them ready to do what they are supposed to!!!

Remember they are still a Division I football team...

Nothing. Considering how much everything cost now they are a waste of time and money.

From a team perspective, easy W, practice for 2nd and 3rd team players, build depth, etc.

For some fans they like to see the starters perform and execute then see the depth guys, the future players, on the field getting some development.

For those with families with little ones, my boys are 9 and 7, it makes more sense to bring them to a game like this vs. LSU or Bama, their enjoyment is the same regardless.

When SEC goes to 9-conference game schedule to adjust to adding horns and Sooners….I won't miss having the third cupcake game.

A couple of cupcakes are okay but too many just makes you fat.

It frees up the Saturday as they aren't worth watching because blowouts aren't interesting and if it isn't a blowout, or in the extreme case an upset or near upset, I don't want to watch.

If a team is in a conference or division that has no chance for the playoffs in FBS, the victory should not count in season totals, but it is just an exhibition.

Answer to OP: Lowered risk of injuries and getting backups more PT.

It'll help pay for airfare team hotel, etc.

I think App St. deserved their W and I'm glad it was counted.

I don't have to watch the game real time. For this 11am game, I can get some work done around the yard. Then I can watch the replay after dark while enjoying a beverage or two.

Relaxing and enjoying the game. Hell, I might even buy a beer from the concession stand

Beg to differ. Some of my favorite games as 100% stress free.....I also get to flip channels a bit more. Tend to drink less too!
