The problem with most color commentators today is they don't know when to shut up It's like they feel they have to fill every second of air time even if it means they end up spewing streams of idiocy throughout the broadcast.

Al Michaels, Frank Gifford, and Dan Dierdorf. Best Monday Night Football lineup of all time.

Oh, and I hate 2:30 kickoffs. I'd rather have 11am, and get the rest of the day to do stuff, or 7pm or later. 2:30 just takes up a big chunk of the day.

I was hoping for a night game because nothing would beat a night game at Kyle Field with two top 15 SEC West teams chasing Alabama for the division title. But I knew that CBS would select the Auburn game for the 2:30 PM slot. I will be going to the game, and I am glad kickoff is not at 11 AM.

That and they feel the game for it's own sake is not enough and they need to manufacture drama, create a hero, try to make the event bigger than the game.

Fowler is the best in the business of the current crop and it's not even close. As much as I hate to admit it Herbstreet is pretty good too. The games just feel bigger even when those two call them.
