There isn't a conference limit on ny6 though… none that I know of anyway

In a hypothetical world...does anyone know what happens if A&M, Alabama, and Miss St all finish with 2 SEC losses?

Since a 14-13 win in Starkville in 2008, Kentucky has lost 6 straight games in Starkville. Mark Stoops has fallen to 0-5 in Starkville. Including tonight, Kentucky has lost their last 4 trips in Starkville by a combined score of 146-53. A Kentucky loss means Georgia clinches the SEC East before November even begins. I think Kentucky can still win the rest of their games to finish 10-2 (6-2 in SEC games) in the weak SEC East.

Mississippi State has tough road games at Arkansas next week and Auburn the week after. They might be able to upset Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl becasue they will have home field advantage. I think Mississippi State will finish 6-6 or 7-5 depending on the Egg Bowl.

We needed a Kentucky loss more. Kentucky has patsies the rest of the way and would have ended up in a NY6 bowl had they won. State will run into another loss in the west so that's not an issue. They have more losses coming Kentucky doesn't.

Yes, we need a State loss but in the event that Bama runs the table, which is likely, we need to solidify a third place SEC finish should we win out and Bama does too.

Why does it matter to you if kentucky gets a ny6 nod? That's good for the conference over all & has zero bearing on us getting an ny6 nod

In that scenario, wether we finish 3rd or 4th overall is irrelevant
