Typically to be a Heisman candidate, your team has to, you know, win the game, not lose, and not lose 2 in a row.

But wait, the TEAM lost, but BJ was still the best player on the field!!!! Uh, no, he was not the leading rusher in either game vs. OU or Okie Lite. What is the name of the OSU RB, maybe he should be the Heisman candidate?! Maybe it was his other-worldly performance and stats vs. Pig...... well, no, he wasn't the leading rush in that game either. I guess maybe the Pig RB should be the Heisman candidate.

Regardless of stats, I don't think BJ is even the best RB in the State of Texas. I would take Spiller over him any day of the week.

Keep up the spin for cow ESPN, one day in 2025 they will be in the SEC, you will be off the hook for the LHN, and then you can find new and creative ways to spin their 5-7 records and "Heisman candidates".....

go watch the Tennessee Titans play. Similar situation. Without consistent defense, it doesn't matter for how many yards he (or Henry, in this parallel) runs

Texas won't be a successful enough team for him to win the Heisman, but he is certainly a talented enough player to win the award if he was on a better team.

They don't use him as well as they should. He should get the ball 50% more than he does. He's having a great year behind an abysmal OL. In almost every 3 down sequence, I'd be running the ball 2 times, and every now and again, just run 1 in 3 and do a play action in there.
