I think a lot of LSU people are just smoke screening by saying that Jimbo isn't who they want, he won't even get a phone call, blah blah blah. They are trying to avoid the possibility of being turned down by an A&M coach and the perception that A&M might be a better job than LSU. He's obviously going to get a phone call (or already has) from Woodward, that's not even up for debate at this point.

Matt is actually very well connected at LSU.

It is a question of honor. Why leave TAMU for anybody? He wants support. That is why he came to us anyway. Who can match real support better than us anyway. We can match the money of anybody. It is the whole package. Quality of life, family, support, honor, tradition, etc.

They already called Jimbo, that's why he got the raise and extension this summer.

I wouldn't blame him for leaving for a job like Bama or tOSU. Those are clear jumps forward with much less baggage than other big name jobs like LSU, Texas, or Miami

Look, I think Franklin is a decent coach but vastly over rated by the media. Recruits well but not a great in-game coach.

He leaves and those BIG Money Donors that want their private time/influence will be right back.

Franklin makes the most sense. I don't see why they would fire O this early without having a big dog lined up. Franklin is the only person being mentioned that seems to be both a big dog and attainable.

The people that are well connected at LSU (including Matt) are all saying Jimbo isn't coming. I think he's already told them no. Either way, these guys don't like egg on their face or their reputations to be screwed up. Bad for business. Just passing along the info.

Yep. Him and Sexton pissed them off on the last date. Most BOS and boosters do not even want to approach him again although my guy not positive there wasn't a passing inquiry "among friends" this summer.

I didnt play it but his picture makes him look mentally challenged.
