I'm not up to date on the recovery timeline for Haynes King so sorry if this is redundant but is there any chance in hell King will be back for Bama?
If Calzada looked that scared against Arkansas Imagine Bama. If Haynes isn't back we will become the laughing stock of college football because of Jimbo's preseason comments on the game and the likely 30+ point beatdown we will get.

We were told King would return in 5-7 weeks. If he plays against Bama, that will be 1 day shy of 5 weeks. If docs give his leg the all clear on Friday, I don't wanna send him out there 1 day after he gets off crutches. He needs reps.

Even if we just run the ball and slow things down for Calzada, we can beat Mizzou, Scar, and Miss State. Meanwhile, even if we did rush King back, we likely don't beat Bama. After those 4 games, we have a bye week. Get to that bye week so King gets 7 weeks to heal and 2 to practice

If we can show a pulse against MSU, that likely means we can do similar against Mizzou, whose defense is not looking good this season. If we can get him back practicing by SC week he's got a good shot to play the back half of the season and we can win games.

Frankly, Haynes isn't back off crutches yet from what we've seen, and he isn't putting us over the top against Bama unless EVERYTHING else is going right.

I hate to break this to yall but the best case scenario for Haynes is gonna be November. There's just no reason for him to play any sooner.

His projected time is around that SC game I believe, but with the Bye Week following he won't get the start.

And who knows, what makes Haynes great is his ability to run. If he cant run then I dont know if we play him. Yes, he is a better passer and decision maker than Calzada but we can't let him play until he's 100% healed.

So, you don't think the 3 Arkansas defensive linemen beating our 5 offensive linemen and putting 8 in the defensive backfield was the reason we had problems? No first year starter, King or Calzada, has a chance as long as our offensive line can't protect.

If he wants a Chance to beat out Weigmann I think I would want as many game reps as possible to add to the resume. Jimbo is obviously stubborn in that regard which is why I'm afraid of Calzada getting anymore time than is necessary. Upside with an experienced way more than Calzada

I would take pocket passer king over calzada. At least king gets rid of the ball on time. At least king would not get spooked by a 3 man rush.

Bama is a write off. But, we must win 8-9 games and build momentum for 2021.

Coming back after the bye seems to make the most sense, but you have to think there is a big difference between being cleared to go full speed for football activity and being mentally and physically ready to play QB in a game.

It'd be nice to get him the QB1 snaps for the final 4 games.

There is no reason for him to play against Bama even if he was healthy. We rush him back to play that game there is a high likely hood it would be broken again in that game. I am going to venture to guess he is going to be a little gun shy about running his first game out. Being able to trust his leg 100% and taking a possible big hit. Definitely no something you want vs Bama.

I didn't really see anything stellar from King in his limited sample size. I have seen enough of Calz at this point to know he is not the guy. Right now, all Captain Underpants has going for him is hope, potential and he is not Calzada.

Not sure they will be in a hurry to bring him back. Probably predicated on W & L record at the time.

Until we get King back, it's going to be a big s- - t sandwich and everyone is going to have to take a bite.

Getting hit early and often rattled ZC and his happy feet stayed active the rest of the game. It's like his eyes couldn't see the white jerseys because he was focused on the red ones.
