We've beat it to death on here about who wants who doesn't want to play t.u. again. It looks like it's gonna happen and when the smoke clears, we're probably gonna play them every year. So, question is, do you want to play them over Thanksgiving, or is that week reserved for LSU? I've got mixed feelings.

Stay with LSU for Thanksgiving. We can play UTex anytime else.

Do y'all really think LSU gives a F about playing us on thanksgiving? Serious question.

The answer is unequivocally, they don't give a **** whatsoever. HTH.

Every single one of you hardos who are gonna say "oh yeah we don't want to play tu on thanksgiving" are also gonna be the first in line when tickets go on sale.

I don't want to play tu on thanksgiving… but playing lsu the week after they play Alabama seems like a great scheduling change in exchange for playing West Vanderbilt on thanksgiving if we do change.

LSU has made it CLEAR, they will NOT Play on Thanksgiving THURSDAY in Baton Rouge. They do Saturdays.

Forget the got damn sips on thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is now totally NFL. LSU on the Saturday of thanksgiving weekend is a much better game and venue for A&M the SEC and college football!

So many folks are stuck on this myth.

I don't care whether we play LSU or Texas the final week. But, whoever it is, if we have any sense at all, the game will be played on Saturday and not Thursday.

Thanksgiving worked when: (1) we had on campus bonfire the night before the game; (2) going home for Thanksgiving wasn't universal among the students (particularly ones that didn't live close to BCS); and (3) there was no NFL night game.

After that changed, from 2001 onwards, we started seeing empty seats in the student section and ratings went down. Would ESPN still be happy to have the game on Thursday? Yes, but only because it would be better than the Egg Bowl. That's a low bar to clear, and they wouldn't care about the ghost town campus and empty seats.

An empty campus with less than normal tailgating is not an atmosphere that we want to bring recruits in for. Therefore, whoever we play that weekend, it needs to be on Saturday, when more student will come back to campus, and more tailgaters will be set up as per normal.

Most Ags don't want to admit this.. they want and think LSU views us as a big rivarvly game and circles us on their schedule.

They don't
Texas game will return to Thanksgiving weekend, may not be Thursday but will be thanksgiving weekend.
And if we're going to play, that's when it should be played.

If Jimbo thumps them in Death Valley, corndogs will have plenty of Fs to give. Those irrational loons obsess with the team in front of them and dominating them in their own stadium would do just that.

This is a NO BRAINER...

If t.u. returns to an annual game, which it will, it WILL be played Thanksgiving Weekend.

Personally, I believe it should return to primetime on Thursday evening.

Ole Miss & Miss State can play the Egg Bowl at 3:00 P.M. Cowboys are typically the 3:00 P.M. game as well.

Texas A&M vs. t.u can be the 7:00 P.M. kickoff. (The stands will be packed... Don't say they won't be. It will be a crazy atmosphere, students will return to campus for the game, and the rivalry that never should have ended will be back exactly where it is supposed to be!)

For twenty years, LSU was the first game of the season. They backed out and ended the series because they were getting destroyed. LSU does NOT consider A&M a rivalry game. LSU considers Arkansas more of a rivalry than we are...

Play LSU in September and play the _______ sips during Thanksgiving week.

I'd play it early when the game at least seems relevant. Wait until Thanksgiving, and one or both teams have had so much time to choke on the season that the game is meaningless to anyone outside of Texas.

If you're a class of '06, then you're ignoring what happened when you were on campus. Students did NOT stick around for the Thursday night game back then, and they won't do it now. Maybe the first time the game is played interest would be high enough, but you're ignoring history if you think that will be sustained over the long term.

About 15 years ago, someone posted the TV ratings of the Thanksgiving NFL games plus ours with the sips. The NFL was embarrassingly superior to our game.

If you want our game to be irrelevant to the rest of the nation, play it on Thanksgiving. Or worse, play it on Friday.

When the NFL began the Thanksgiving night game, it closed all windows for us on T-Day. Saturday is the only option now, unless you want to be a tree falling in the woods.

Let the horns and land thieves be each other's big rival. Bama has Auburn. It's pathetic for A&M to try to be a sidechick for the sips or for LSU to cling to a slot as secondary rival for Bama.

If another school doesn't see you as their #1 rival - then just beat 'em and move on. If two schools both hate the other more than anyone else: that's something special! Hold out for True Hate. It's worth it!

If you will consider living in the present for a moment, it's actually the other way around. They are obsessed with our coach, our success, our money(which they don't have), and we are the ones with much bigger fish to fry. Watch what happens when we take 3 of 4 this year, champ..

Our cross-divisional rival is South Carolina.

That is who we should play on T-Day!

Hell their mascot is practically a turkey so its like a no-brainer. Duh.

Wouldn't they want to play OU then and get that game away from the fair? Always seems like such a beating.

I'm sure you were joking, but they play Clemson that weekend. Which brings up another point. Working out who plays who that weekend is not simple. If we play the sips instead of LSU, who does LSU play? LSU going back to playing Arkansas would require Missouri to find someone to play. I guess they could play OU, unless OU and OSU are going to agree to keep playing the Bedlam game. Maybe Missouri plays Kansas, but that's not a given. There are a lot of moving parts to address when it comes to that final weekend.

If/when we play the horns at DKR, I can assure you it will be a record sellout and they will carry either their kicker or coach off the field if they somehow manage a win. Does that sound like side chick material to you?

A&M and LSU have played Thanksgiving weekend since 2014.
In 2014 and 2016 in CS the game was played Thanksgiving night. Games in Baton Rouge always on Saturday.
LSU never has wanted to play Thursday.

Well that's not how MSU and ole miss are scheduled so….

Schedule makers are doing to do what makes the most $$.
If y'all have not figured out yet $$$ drives everything in college football..
A&M and Texas will be Thanksgiving weekend. Period
Arkansas and LSU will go back to playing on Thanksgiving weekend
