If the two are added.

Texas and Oklahoma each project to bring in the SEC $60 million annually by that time, which would give the league total revenue figure at $1.301 billion.
How?

One of these things has actual value and the other is a leach that lives off the blood of "amateur" athletics.

I didn't think the NCAA as a organization made a lot of money?

Or are they talking about the rest of the teams in the NCAA?

Their math in the article does not add up.

And If the the 2 school are only adding $60MM each, then they are barely contributing a net positive. Aren't the SEC schools already projected to be getting around $55MM to $60MM?

If this is just about the money (and it is), then this more evidence that this is a dumb decision.

According to Berkowitz's numbers, the SEC was set to make $812 million in 2024-25 after combining national and local TV/radio revenue.
Sounds like a big number but its low.

b10 is making 55 million while sec is making 45.

812 is only 82 million increase. each team sees an increase of 5.8 million. so in 2024-25 sec teams will make 5 million less than the b10 is right now. don't see that happening.

According to ESPN, the SEC paid out $44.6m per school in January. The new deal signed last year is worth $300m/yr and would add $20m to each school in 2024. That would be $64m WITHOUT ou/tu.

No. It added 245 million over the 55 CBS was already paying. Definitely an upper.

Won't happen.

Minor league pro football won't hold enough fan interest to support the contracts.

And it still won't be worth it.

It appears to be holding steady in the A&M off-season fan site arena. I would expect the 12 team playoff to grow interest despite all the calls that this is the end of the world. I would also expect the first renewal of the horn V. A&M game to set records for fan interest.

this is all garbage speculation $$ math.

how on earth current SEC revenue projection of $812 million in 2024-25 without ou/texas balloon out to $1300 million with them?

SO they are worth half of billion by themselves? ESPN will not fork over half of billion per year to SEC(just adding ou/texas)?

Projected $1.3 billion per year to SEC numbers are very opaque. ESPN takes over CBC 2:30 slot will raise eventual $$$ regardless of ou/texas. ($800 ESPN + $300 ESPN cbs slot). Will ESPN dump more money for ou/Texas? IF no new money is given, won't that decrease overall payout?

Real question is current ESPN contract and ESPN/CBS contract adjustable for addition of texas/ou? I assume it is as this impetus was the almighty $$$.

Here is #'s according to above article

"According to Berkowitz's numbers, the SEC was set to make $812 million in 2024-25 after combining national and local TV/radio revenue.

Texas and Oklahoma each project to bring in the SEC $60 million annually by that time, which would give the league total revenue figure at $1.301 billion."
