I still don't like it, but oh well.

UT, OU, ND and another school were being pursued by B1G. SEC caught wind and didn't want B1G to be big dog conference (which they would have been) so only way to stop it would be to take UT/OU. ESPN and Sankey leading the way and someone at ATM was involved and knew about it. All the smoke the last few days is just smoke to please big donors and leadership that were kept in the dark, and the general Aggie population as they know it will piss us off good. We all know, In the end it comes down to money and SEC with UT/OU will bring in more money then if they moved to the the B1G with Notre Dame. ATM may not like it, but long term its a better financial deal for ATM in my opinion. Actual on the fields it may not be best for ATM but $ talks and yall know this.

And once I get over having those ***holes back in our conference it will be fun playing them and OU every year again. Most younger Aggies have never been part of playing Texas and will enjoy the rivalry again. Us older Ags can't stand them but eventually we will get over it IMO especially when we beat them silly.

I also think this isn't over and sooner than later there will be 2 more teams in the SEC and the B1G will have Notre Dame and 1 or 3 other schools. PAC 12 will pick a few old Big 12 teams and the rest will scramble for making a new conference with ACC and we will have our 4 major 16 team conferences.

1. The best part of the rivalry was telling them to piss off when walked out the door.

2. The SEC will regret bringing the whorns in. The SEC would have ended up better with them, the land thieves and the Irish in the B1G. Much like when the Kaiser sent Lenin home to Russia in WWI to destabilize them.

3. Don't think you speak for all of us who lived the t-sips horse ***** I, and every fellow Ag I know was perfectly fine never playing those cheating *******s again.

Pac is pathetic. ACC will make it difficult.
But A&M should use all dirty tricks and lawsuits and political threats to now advocate for immediate inclusion of Clemson, FSU, and a few more such as Louisville and Ga Tech...possibly Miami....even Memphis.
Aim at directly hitting those state schools who vote against us and see how they like it.

Longhorn 6th place finish in the Big 12 over the past 12 years isn't scary. Longhorn is just another cupcake added to our schedule. OU has built their record off of cupcakes for too long anyway. They say they are second best in SEC already. Haha. Will enjoy watching Aggies whipping that ass every year on both of those Big 12 bailouts. I want to lock in BlowU and sippy in to an Aggie pod to enjoy the cage match every year. Embrace the hate. For Pimp and the Gimp!

Exactly time to get really nasty and show there is a price to be paid for screwing us over.

Some conference had to bailout OU/tu. ESPN took the Big 12/LHN money to the SEC. We are about to get paid for the failure of the Big 12 that those 2 losers built and ran in to the ground. Embrace the hate and the national beat down OU/tu will get each week.

Yes Aggie Fans don't care about money, as I sure don't, but ATM leadership does. There is a huge money pie out there being baked with the after effects of NIL, etc. And everyone wants a piece before its gone.

I absolutely agree it's a battle between the Big Ten and SEC for t.u. and Oklahoma. That's why this is hurried. Sankey et al. can't even agree and get their act together re: 12 team playoff, but all the contracts miraculously mean nothing as the SEC tries to prevent OU and Texas from migrating to the Big Ten with Notre Dame.

The B1G has been after Notre Dame for decades. Always been a no go for the Irish. They are happy with their place in the ACC.

The other thing is this SEC thing took the PAC, B1G and ACC commissioners by surprise according to their responses when asked. Nothing happens football related in the B1G without Barry Alvarez knowing about and he was at a loss for words when told.

b10 teams make 55 mill a year while those in the sec make 45. tu/ou going to the b10 would widen the gap. It's all about recruiting for tu/ou.

If you don't think that us being the only Texas team in the SEC didn't help create the situation that UT & OU are in now, you are definitely confused. I'm so glad about where we are now, but if the Aggies were a "sleeping giant" before we went to the SEC, UT and possibly OU fit that description even better right now. All they really lack is a good showcase for their programs, which the SEC is poised to give them.

They have been a fraud and we have the upper hand because we were in the SEC and they were in a dying league. That was what it took to overcome all the sip shenanigans.
Take that away and it all comes to an end.
We should be doing everything in our power to make sure sip languishes and dies.

If sip wants it. It has to be bad for us.

First, there is no way that the SEC takes an OU&TU (SEC already has a UT) call without all members knowing including A&M. All conversation and approvals start at The President/Chancellor level. A source from the SEC in Birmingham confirmed as much. If the AD did not know, it was because it wasn't shared from their administration.

Second, the SEC did not approach the Big12 members...never have...never will.. Texas and Oklahoma have been discussing this for over a year and contacted the SEC in the December-January time frame.

Third, A&M was accepted into the SEC because they were a perfect fit for what the SEC was looking for...population centers and cable subscribers. Now it is more of whether you can generate a revenue stream that combined with the SEC name/league enriches all the members. Each new member has to have their own ability to generate revenue from all sources. The LHN will become part of the SEC network.

Fourth, Texas is the perfect addition to the SEC. All Hat (Brand, fans, money)-still the number one athletic department in the country in revenues generated. Athletic teams will have to step up to the challenge of playing in the SEC just like A&M did.

Fifth, the challenge of the SEC is not a single game. The challenge in football for example is when they play Alabama, followed by Georgia, then A&M and finally Auburn or Florida in a 4 or 5 game stretch. The easier games will be Missouri, Kentucky etc.??? Good luck with that. It will take the Sips more than a few years to meet that challenge if ever.

Sixth, A&M has built a program that is ready to play for the National Championship in football as well as other sports.. Beat Texas a few times and it won't matter which league UT/TU is in. Players want to play where they can compete for championships with the best programs. Being in the SEC will take the shine off the horns. Take a look at how many SEC athletes are competing in the Olympics. Pick any event. Florida for example has a swimmer in every freestyle race in Tokyo.

There is always lots of stuff said when emotions set in...some of it is even true.

Remember who you are...by far the best athletic program in Texas!!!

Finally, the SEC doesn't kick programs out nor does it penalize them for speaking out. Texas and Oklahoma will clearly understand the rules of the road before they get admitted. The crap they pulled in the Big? will never be tolerated.

If A&M just can't handle little (formerly big) brother in the SEC, they can always leave. The SEC does not charge teams to leave or take away their TV revenues. The SEC is the only league that has an exit fee of $0.

I mentioned on a previous thread, and it lines up with some thoughts here.I find it more likely that "leadership" at A&M was aware of, and supportive of this move from the very beginning, than to believe Sankey and a handful of schools just did thison their own and only read in the Aggies at the last minute.

If ND is seriously considering joining the B1G, then we should be talking to them and the B1G to see what our options are in that regard. Get Clemson and Florida St. included in the package and that could be quite a lucrative deal for A&M and would provide a recruiting differentiator. Being in business with the sips is just a horrible idea and we know that. All alternatives should be considered to see if they make any sense.

I believe the highest administrators at A&M knew about this. I distinctly remember, would you guys like to begin the series with tu again?, being asked right around the beginning of the year. Looking back, that must've been a trial balloon. From what I recall it was pretty 50/50 so admin must've thought that when the move did occur, a vast majority of aggies wouldn't be super upset.

What I think caught the admin off guard was the suddenness of the move. The Big 12 very recently asked their members to up the GOR to 10 years instead of 5, and then OU and tu said alright SEC we are coming, get us out of this **** hole. A&M brass thought the move was still years away. Then when it leaked to the general public, a fresh-faced un battle-tested AD like Bjork read the room and saw most aggies were super pissed. He panicked and issued a rash and hurried statement that made most of us believe the top brass weren't aware this could happen, when in fact they did know.

Probably so and a lot of people on here are going to be embarrassed for lashing out based on a bunch of tu insider quotes in burnt orange media outlets. Those reports could turn out to be true, and if they are I'll share in the outrage but history says that's a less than 30% chance.

The thing LSU is going to learn to hate about the sips, is that LSU knows its dirty and doesn't care. At least they fess up to it. tu has always had a holier than thou attitude towards other teams doing what it takes to win, even though they do as bad as anybody and had a NCAA insider protecting them for a long time. It will get annoying fast but in the new landscape they might as well drop the self-righteous facade. Up until this dropped, they would pull the SEC is too dirty and dumb for them to ever grace it with its presence. You are going to hate them worse than you hate us.

Agree. My instinct tells me we had a couple of our people know, and keep it secret for whatever reason.
