Next SEC meeting, A&M should bring representatives from Florida State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, & Louisville. If the single-state schools are drooling at the money and prospect of being safe by screwing A&M; let's introduce the idea of an 18+ team league and see if we can reawaken their handshake agreement or gum up the whole works.

So what are we going to, 20 teams? Isn't that just two 10 team conferences in the South stitched together? So we could call the east half the South Eastern Conference

And what could we call the western half? Hmmmm that's a puzzler all right. Have to sleep on it.

Maybe that is the plan. Maybe espn/sankey said we are going to consolidate best schools from ACC and big12 into a SEC based super league, and that might be why we were cool with it. I'd get clemson/fsu/unc/uva (or vatech if they don't want to come).

I'll be a lot less butt hurt if Clemson and FSU are added because at least everyone with a big name out of conference in state rival is getting stuck with it for the good of the conference paycheck or whatever. But Sankey should have at least effing told us rather than slinking around behind our back. Unless the Finebaum statement that the President and Chancellor knew, and if that's true, we'll, our bad I guess fire Sharp and the new engineering lady (forgot her name sorry) and move forward.

Actually Georgia Tech is a very highly rated school academically, particularly for STEM. Would bring a lot of prestige.

Adding Louisville doesn't punish Kentucky. It punishes the rest of us with having to watch Louisville games. One Kentucky bouncy ball school is enough for me, thanks.

Why not go for 24 teams and create Championship division 4 divisions of 6 teams and you play 11 games all in SEC then a playoff round for the Championship. Clemson,
NC, FSU, Ga Tech, duke and Kansas would make basketball

This is one reason, the smaller sec schools better watch out. If the sips come in, and see the value of getting rid of smaller schools for bigger ones in acc, they will work to cast you aside so fast. And before you say well we are SEC originals, let me introduce you to the likes tech, baylor, tcu, rice, smu, and uh. There is a reason arkie got out of dodge. They knew if they didn't they would be screwed by tu.

The year is 2033. The SEC has collected almost every Blue Chip program in the nation. They each get $100M annual, but they want more. The weaker original members realize they're about to get voted out, and propose a League split with a promotion / relegation system as a hail-mary to stay in the SEC. Vandy & co. never see the light of day again, and their take never again exceeds what it was in 2021.
