If Mizzou can make a credible threat to head to the Big Ten with Kansas, that would leave one slot left in the SEC to get to16 teams.

Might the Ags suggest FSU, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Louisville, Louisianna/Tulans, etc ?

It's not like A&M would be violating a gentleman's agreement.

Missouri talks with the Big-10 is a rumor on one of the Sooner boards.

Definitely Clemson to the East.

Or swap Mizzou for OU and leave Texas out to wilt in the B12.

Lol. None of A&M's brass have any nuts to rock the boat. We are weak

Mizzou is a woke Big 10 basketball school. They are a good fit for that league. SEC needs to snag Va Tech with alacrity. Cincy would also be a great choice, opening part of Ohio to the SEC.

Please. Mizzou leaving just makes it easier for OU to bring OSU, and not have to worry about state politics.

I don't think Mizzou leaving, pretty far fetched as it stands now, wouldn't take place until AFTER tu and OU are accepted into the SEC.

Missouri? They barely qualify to belong in any power 5 conference. Big 10 already found out how worthless Nebraska is, Missouri might be even worse. I've never understood why the SEC didn't pick a number of schools other than Missouri. They have no clout in the SEC and threatening such a move with KU would be met with a hearty laugh across the deep south.

THey did win the SEC east twice though....

How about we just swap out Mizzou with OU?

Exactly Dallas Ag.

With no Aggie journalism grads, A&M has no say in the national media narrative.

Perhaps I'm misreading the OP, but I think what they are getting at is if Missouri can threaten an open spot in the SEC and that opens a threat of FSU, Clemson, NC (schools that UF and SC don't want to see in the SEC) joining, there are more no votes than are currently expected.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Exactly, Bonfire. The other schools are counting on expansion ending at 16 schools. If Mizzou drops out, then the SEC would want another. My suggestions might not sit right with LSU, FL, SC, GA, KY,etc.

I doubt that is happening. OU seems pretty intent on leaving them behind like we did to Texas in 2011.

But we should make it public that we will always vote in favor of adding Kentucky, South Carolina, Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia schools whenever it comes up.

No one from the ACC can realistically make a jump anytime soon. The fees owed would be ruinous unless they find a way out of it.

Not sure why the big 10 doesn't make a big play for a Texas school and other southern school even if they expand to 18. If they could tap the DFW and Houston markets, they would geographically touch 4 of the 5 largest tv markets (in the country. They could approach UT or A&M / OU, Arkansas, Missouri etc and create a 8-9 team "southern"division. ". Gotta now let's of money in that play.

Missouri has been in talks with the Big 10 since the '60s. Almost ALL one-sided.

Not saying I don't put any stock in this but who knows.

mizzou has always wanted big10, and they feel very midwestern. if the big10 makes it worth while, meaning no more junior membership crap, then I could see them jumping along with KU.

But it doesn't, go read the ACC GoR. All teams are tied up until 2035/6, costs $50M to exit early and I think they give up their tv money until the GoR expires. So, unless those schools want to forfeit a ton of money, They are not going anywhere.

Why would you want to stay in a conference that doesn't want you?
