Need to serve notice that there is a big FU coming to the east side of the conference. They are ok with adding 2 teams to the west to prevent expansion in the east.

UCF is not an SEC caliber university.
Why would tu/OU leave cupcake row to join the SEC?FAT SEXY said:

Good, I hope President Banks took a baseball bat to the meeting. The way the SEC office and whatever schools attempted this is inexcusible and just disgusting. They backstabbed us and they know it or else they wouldn't have tried to sneak them in.Aggieair said:
Pete Thamel apparently talked about a rumor today that A&M prepared to threaten UF and SCar into voting no by proposing an 18 team plan to the SEC to add FSU and Clemson if they vote yes on OU/tu.
Why would OU and tu see a change as necessary? A 12 team playoff is coming with 6 autobids for the highest ranked CCG winners. OU would literally be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs from then until eternity. The sips chances of making the playoffs go down significantly as well in the SEC. The SEC is not going to take every single one of the 6 at large bids every year. You're just going to have 8 football heavyweights in the same conference cannibalizing each other every year.FAT SEXY said:
well, you have a point.
Clemson and FSU have both won titles in the last 10 years.. I don't think they see a change as necessary. The ACC is a much more stable conference than the Big 12.

For attention like always. They don't even the same type of fanbase when it comes to passion in football. They just can't stand it when no ones talking about them. I honestly think they know they are running out of options and grasping for straws to see if they can get a bite, possibly turn around and say they decided to decline offer.Aggieair said:Why would OU and tu see a change as necessary? It just doesn't make sense for OU and tu to significantly decrease their chances of winning for an alleged extra $5 to 15 million per year, depending on the school (Texas would lose the $15mil a year ESPN pays directly to them for the LHN). Why give up winning for low single digit percentage increases in total revenue? If you can't win, your "brand" dies off. If your brand dies off, the money dies off. The whole thing is counterintuitive.
