Exactly. Even if there was just a flat replacement of Alabama with tu and OU, it would still be easier for us to make the playoff. Why did we not make the playoff last year?

We consistently finished in the bottom half of the Big 12. We wouldn't make the playoffs in the Big 12 either.

1, 2 or 3 losses in this behemoth of a conference would likely get in expanded playoffs.

A&M would still enjoy an unbelievable recruiting advantage relative to most schools. I think this all helps A&M all things considered.

We are in the same division as Bama currently. The ONLY way we could make it more difficult would be to add Clemson or OSU.
