With all the buzz and speculation I keep thinking about Mr. Sankey's reaction. "No comment" was his basic response. Why? Sankey has always been in my opinion a straight shooter. I have to believe Brent Z approached the SEC before releasing. It would be disrespectful to just sling rumor and such especially at Sankey's kickoff event. Angering the most powerful Commissioner in College Sports would not be a good career move. I believe A&M has been approached by Sankey. I think Sankey wants this. I think an A&M source leaked this to embarrass Sankey and create the firestorm which it is doing. As a Bama fan, I do not want tu or OU. Sankey I feel wants this to happen for $$$ reasons. Should be interesting. Anyway, see you in October, should be one awesome game.

Agree. Sankey wants this. It's huge for his legacy.

Brent Z thinks it's going to happen (and quickly). Also think A&M leaked it as this is where BZ is connected. He said that he has know his source for decades.

Adding these two teams to the mix makes it arguably easier for Bama to retain dominance. Any opposition from Texas based recruits becomes diluted, and Bama probably moves to the Eastern division.

Saban and the 7 figure QB who has yet to play a meaningful snap are probably licking their chops on this.

I could see this coming from a Bama source. Long term, A&M is the biggest threat to Alabama's dominance in CFB. Would be a blow to A&M if OU and tu were added.

It's happening. When this broke earlier in the day, I thought no way it would happen. Now, I think it's almost a done deal and will be announced soon.

Besides A&M, who would vote against it? Those are two top 10 programs with huge fan bases.

The only question is how do you kick out Mizzou and South Carolina.

Yep.

No votes would be A&M, Arkansas, Missouri at minimum. All that would be needed is one more. Would bet lsu would be a no vote as well, and Florida would also likely be a no vote IMO.

Georgia would be a no vote

They're sitting on the cusp of greatness but that would end real quick having Bama on their division schedule every year
