That's is first name, it should be Coach TimeDANG said:
I thought it was Coach Prime?
He's not asking to be treated like Nick Saban, just asking that they treat him with the same respect as they would other coaches, like Nick Saban.Quote:
"You don't call Nick Saban, 'Nick.' Don't call me Deion," Sanders told Nick Suss from the Clarion Ledger.
"If you call Nick (Saban), Nick, you'll get cussed out on the spot, so don't do that to me," Sanders later added. "Treat me like Nick."

P. S. I forgot to add that in the post game press conference he ranted about being robbed instead of talking about the game.Ag Tag said:
In his first home game at Jackson State last season, someone robbed his locker, stealing his wallet and other personal items, while he was down on the field, coaching the game. LOL! I read it in the news.
Pretty sure most of the media members out there are saying this is false.rootube said:
He probably could have handled it better but he is not wrong.
Breaking news: Alabama coach Nick Saban was called “Nick” 8 times by reporters during his press conference at SEC Media Days. And didn’t “cuss out” one reporter #DontCallMeDeion #CallMeMrPrimeTime

He's always been a selfish a hole who lived off his natural abilities. He never worked hard and began to deteriorate with age. The Redskins paid him big money when he couldn't play anymore. He could cover anyone in his prime, but still was a poor tackler. Total worthless POS IMO.

You don't think an athlete like that can tackle ? Lol probably was trying to avoid injuries.
Quote:
When Sanders played for the Cowboys, one team ran the ball right at him. Deion made a less than stellar effort at making a tackle, and the play went for a big gain. The next day, his teammates mocked his poor effort during the team film session. Shrugging off the criticism, Sanders replied with a straight face, "I saw him coming and I had to make a business decision."

For all you here taking issue with Coach Sanders' admonishing the errant journalist, it would behoove you all to keep this saying in mind:
Respect the (rank/title/position), not the person
For those in their feelings/emotions who insist that he should earn your respect, allow me to retort:
That you should respect what is already earned.
In other words, he is no longer Deion "Prime Time" Sanders the football player/alternate persona, but he is now the head coach of a Division I college football team.
Having already seen the video (before my initial post here) after the errant reporter mistakenly addressed Coach Sanders by his first name, Coach Sanders gave the errant reporter a chance to correct himself by politely ask the reporter to address him as Coach (at the very least). When the errant reporter instead disregarded Coach Sanders' polite request to be treated as a professional that is when Coach Sanders rightfully ended the interview.EKUAg said:BJC said:

And Saban was called Nick by the press 8 times at media day.
Always has been though so he is staying true to himself45-70Ag said:Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders walks out of SWAC Media Day event after being called "Deion," says to "treat me like Nick" Saban#RollTide #Bama #SEChttps://t.co/kwEkqeP3FL

100% agree. The reporter turned a simple request into a pissing contest with an obvious diss at Coach Sanders.BJC said:Having already seen the video (before my initial post here) after the errant reporter mistakenly addressed Coach Sanders by his first name, Coach Sanders gave the errant reporter a chance to correct himself by politely ask the reporter to address him as Coach (at the very least). Again, having a lack of respect for someone's does not justify your disrespecting that individual, especially in an official capacity. This was on the errant reporter due to both his obvious lack of respect and his blatant unprofessionalism on his part.
