Hotels within walking distance to Empower Field

Since it will be a day time game at 1:30 local time at Empower at Mile High Stadium in Denver, daytime walking to and from the stadium should be safe, any hotel recommendations within a mile or so from the stadium?

If you want to be close so you can walk to the game, there are a cluster of hotels at Speer and Zuni St, or there is a Springhill Suites at Speer and Auraria.
We opted for the Kimpton near union station because there are a lot more dining options yet still walkable.

There are a couple Hilton Garden Inn's in Dtown Denver that you can grab the light rail gig to. We booked reservations at both, just undecided which one I'm staying at. Unlike some other places we've played, there are no hotel issues in Denver

The light rail has a stop by the stadium so any hotel along the rail line would be a good choice!

This is the answer. Stay downtown. Take the light rail to the stadium. You'll have to cross I25 to get to the stadium and there's just no reason to do that when the light rail drops you off in front of the stadium.

Yep. Walked backed downtown from a Broncos game to a parking garage and it was a hike.
