Can't do a Buddha move either spiller got yelled at for a bow

The refs also gave spiller some crap for his completely benign TD celebration he's been doing all year with the chest sweep and pray thing. If you watch after the first TD the ref runs right up to him to say some crap and after the second TD you can see Spiller basically motioning/saying "I'm not doing anything"

Basically the refs sucked

I commented last night that he made zero taunting motions towards UNC, and made the arm pump in a "Let's go!" motion. He merely added an f-bomb, how in the hell is that taunting?

That's nothing new, college refs have been doing that for some time. They always run to whoever just scored and keep them under control.
And after the Tulsa/ Miss state brawl you had to know they were going to be very tight on that matter.

Yet nadda chirp when UNC did similar things. What about the dude that did the "thumbs down" after he scored a TD. Wasn't that taunting too?

Exactly and we haven't even gotten to the bull**** "throwing your weight around" flag or the fact that unc was holding the entire game and never flagged while we had some crucial holding penalties called on us

I imagine the referees were on high alert, considering all of the jackassery that went on in the Tulsa-MSU game and in the other games earlier in the day. For what ever reason, bowl games were much more chippy this year than in years past. My guess is their intent (right or wrong) was to keep the game from getting out of hand like the other bowl games did.

I hate stupid fouls but that call looked totally bogus to me. Nothing wrong with players showing some emotion after a big play. It's not like he threw an opponents shoe.

That call was almost as bad as when Brown was flagged for "putting his weight into the qb".. When it was a unc offensive lineman pushing him into Howell...

Oh and ZERO holding calls on unc- facing one of the top dlines in the country.

Yeah, it was quick but it looked like he was maybe 10 yds in bounds, so not directly in front of their bench.
I figured he must have used profanity for that little display to get a penalty.

Indiana was so willing they covered the B1G patch on their uniform yesterday with the bowl patch. They are not happy. Barry Alvarez from Whisky pushed this.

The holding call on the pancake block has not been discussed enough! That was a horrible call! If you get trucked because you suck, that is not holding!!!
