Is he a game changer type of WR?

I hope so.

We have 2 or 3, hopefully, game changing WR that have yet to see the field for any relevant game experience. Tough to change the game from the bench.

I trust Jumbo, but it does concern me that we have a 5* WR who has never played a meaningful minute this year.

We're only showing interest in him to get to his brothers, Meshak and Abednigo.

Why would that concern you when we are currently ranked #5?

These receivers will see the field in due time.

We should move him to defensive back. He has a reputation for not getting burned.

That's not how you build depth and a deep understanding of football. We have seen "the process" with Kellen Mond, so why do we keep beating a dead horse? Freshmen 5* should not expect to get minutes based on what they did in high school. We need consistency. It's about the system, not the individual.

For a dozen reasons...

It doesn't look good.
What message does it send future recruits
Your a 5* and you don't get to play
Are you going to jump the into the portal because your not playing
How can the coaching staff not get him on a the field just a little
Is he hurt?
Is there something wrong with him
Etc....

Yes there is cause for a little call concern...

I think it all works out, but to just dismiss OP, not right.

Is he as good as Demas? Maybe he can keep him company on the sideline.

Dude is fun to watch... based on size alone, I could see him lining up at RB eventually.

Regardless of where he plays, he'll be a game changer.

I think it is the first player from North Shore since 2000!

It is INSANE how much talent has rolled through that school and not landed on our Campus.

To me, that is the biggest story and hopefully we get more from that school in the next few years.

In terms of a Wideout, hard to be excited about any commit if Demand Demas and Moose Muhammad are 'projects' in Jimbos system. I am not saying they are busts but that it is hard to get excited about a commit that may not see the field for 2 years.

I am not too concerned about freshman WRs that don't get to play in year one. Especially one that didn't even play football in his senior year in high school. Hopefully they will have an impact next year.

File this under we see what we wanna see...

Hypothesis: the long-term effect of the transfer portal is not on 5* players increasingly jumping around, it's on 4* players. 3* and below are happy to be playing for schollies. 5* players increasingly end up at programs where they will get showcased. It's the 4* players on the bubble who are desperate to see the field and who will leave if they're riding the bench.

Demas is a 5* but there more factors at play than just not playing his sr year of high school. You know what they say. Availability is some times the best ability.

Wasn't Foster supposed to announce at 7?

he reminds of a anquan boldin type of wide out...maybe not the fastest guy but can get open and find space and then tough to tackle.

He's announcing on Friday- his birthday.

Haven't had much luck at North Shore for quite some time. Hopefully Jimbo getting Banks is a sign of things to come.

Dude hasn't played meaningful time in a game since 2 years ago. Give him time to develop. I'm dying to see the guy go off, too, but if we've learned one thing this year: trust Jimbo. We haven't lost a single game we should've won.

Nothing is wrong with a little seasoning before you cut him loose. Jumbo is not throwing him to the wolves before he's ready.
