Assuming this is a 1st or 2nd teamer..... are we pretty much screwed fir the rest of season if just ONE player tests positive?

Because of the plane travel to SC the 1 player and 1 coach knocked out about 16 others due to contact tracing being within 6ft for 15 mins.

Before that we had one player Positive but no travel/contact tracing so we played.

Correctly distance, especially among the 3 key position groups: qbs, ol, dl.

There was a player and a staff member. The problem was that they failed to correctly practice distancing.

Bjork said that one person sitting in an aisle seat forced 16 others to quarantine. He must have moved around some.

There's something there I don't understand at all. Apparently, when we played Florida, they had left a few players back home due to covid. Was it just that those guys had been exposed and had to wait a few days to see if they could test negative after an incubation period? Maybe we go shut down since a dozen guys actually tested positive?

Very frustrating since planes recycles and filter their air every 2-4 minutes.

If someone tests positive on Thursday, don't allow their roommate to fly and travel with the team on Friday.

Don't know FL details but we got shut down primarily due to contact tracing. 16 individuals that were close to positives have to sit out 14 days. The 16 did not test positive. League rules.

Yeah, makes no sense. You would have to quarantine the entire student population if you did proper contact tracing..... it's stupid.

I've heard Bama takes 2 separate planes for road trips in order to ensure the 6 ft distance between players on the plane.

The SEC rule for contact tracing is within 6 feet for 15 minutes or longer at a time. ACC probably has something similiar.

So, they probably get in a big enough room that everyone can stay 6 feet apart. They should eat meals 6 feet apart. They should ride on buses and planes 6 feet apart.

Not sure how they do lodgings, but best practice would be to get everyone their own room. Next best practice would be to at least get each QB his own room and have walk-ons and less critical players room with a starter.

So probably, people got stupid over the original bye week. Probably got lax with enforcement of covid rules the past 2 weeks. But us in the real

contact tracing doesn't matter, if are closer than 6' to a person that test positive for more than 15 minutes, you're shut down. No matter if you had a mask on, no matter if test negative a 1000 times, you're shut down for 2 weeks.

Trevor had not passed the ACC cardiac testing. He could travel but not play.

I like how we are following every exact guideline to the exact letter.

They started this Protocol before testing could be done in a matter of minutes.

NOW it's all VIRTUE SIGNALING.

Our old timers just don't know how to cheat, lie or fight.

imagine if doctors/nurses/hospital staff had to sit out for 2 weeks in case they were SOMEHOW contract traced to be near covid positive person IN A DAMN HOSPITAL

Listen, I want the games played- but are you comparing football players to drs and nurses?

comparing how ridiculous the contact tracing rule is where even in a healthcare setting surrounded by covid positives they just need to actually avoid testing positive themselves

Sure but- isn't this a question of criticality of their role? Like isn't the health care protocol because they absolutely have to work?

Not saying it shouldn't be less crazy for us...

Everyone is assuming the testing is accurate...
