Wife and I just arrived in Portland, she's starting a 3 month nurse assignment. Hotel on east side near river. Anyone able to suggest a place to watch the game?

Appreciate the responses! Both the serious and not . We ended up at satellite tavern which may have been a previous unofficial Aggie watch bar before, but tonight is PSU. But we have a tv tuned and beer, so we're happy. May check out another place for the second half! Thanks and gig'em!

Actually, Portland is the only place Aaron Franklin travels to cook anymore because he is a friend of the owner of Podnah's Pit (and I think that guy is from Waxahachie and I heard is an Aggie). Good BBQ. Also Matt's BBQ is excellent.

Lots of other good food, wine, and beer all over. We watch at home. I know the place the local Aggie club used to watch closed down last year, so not sure there is an established place now to watch.

Edit: I gave up trying to find good bbq up here in the nw. Plenty of great food, wines, beers and hippie chicks but go home to Texas for BBQ as God intended.
Edit2: Favorite place to watch Ags used to be the Pelican out at pac city gazing over haystack rock and 30 ft breakers. It's a bit built up now but still good experience.

Life of Reilly downtown shows all of our games. It's also frequented by the LSU crowd.

And since there are some hints for visitors, if you head to the gorge, be sure to drop in on Solera Brewing in Parkdale. Best backyard view of any bar on the planet.
