- Improvement in the secondary particularly against a struggling offense looking to rebound

-TACKLING

- consistency from Mond especially without Chapman, can he put it together multiple games in a row. He is the key to opening things up for Spiller and Smith to do work

Keep the same strategy for offense!

Keep the offense unleashed! Mond has played better under this no-fear offense. I don't want the whole "keep the clock running and let the play clock go down inside :02 seconds before snapping the ball. You're gonna do what you try to on offense: if you focus on burning as much time as possible and scoring isn't your priority, you won't score much. Get your offense rolling and don't stop. When we lost to UCLA, part of it is because our focus was on trying to burn clock and not moving chains and scoring so the offense shut down and once you do that, you can't just start up again whenever you want to.

The last couple of games, we have been committed to slightly faster pace of play. A natural pace helps us as opposed to an intentionally slow pace and I think it benefits Mond, that's why Mond looks so good in 4th quarters when we're losing. It gives Mond less time to worry and let's us keep the energy moving. Kellen is rocking the ball through tight gaps while Spiller is gassing the defense.

-The oline to continue doing great things for both the running and passing game.

-The secondary making plays and not letting WRs run wild

-Defense not committing stupid penalties

I think we are somewhat expected to win, but would like for it to not be painful like Vandy and for this team to keep moving in the right direction.

Passing defense and forcing turnovers. Mond playing well on the road.

A few players will likely be out due to covid. Damn Florida got our boys sick most likely.

Force turnovers. Miss st statistically hasn't been that bad they have just killed themselves with turnovers. I would like to see the Aggies continue that trend. They do that and they should win handily.

I have seen Mike Leach pull some real boners in his effort to be crafty (which he is most of the time). I am looking for a huge Mike Leach coaching error that gives us the game!

This. MSU will throw the ball at least 60 times, and most of those will be in front of the first down markers. The DBs cannot miss tackles. If they do, it can be a long day.

-Offense: A balanced attack against a good Mississippi State defense on the road. MSU has allowed 79 points, but that includes a pick-six in every game. MSU has allowed 58 offensive points or 19.33 offensive points per game.

-Defense: Secondary limiting big plays and making tackles in the open space. MSU has 14 giveaways to 5 takeaways for a turnover margin of -9 through three games. I expect our defense to come up with at least 2 takeaways.

-Special teams: kicker Seth Small to make every field goal from 39 yards or less.

Playing well on the road would be a goal. Leach is bloodied, he's gonna have some stuff for us. Hopefully not the 2nd coming of the ninjas.

Disciplined defense. Get off the field on 3rd and long.

Move the ball, score more points than they do.

Win the game.

Need to see how Elko's defense handles the Air Raid. I dont think it is a good match up schemewise. I also think our tackling gets exposed worse than UF unless it improves.

So, we need to see tackling and need to see Mond execute on the road. We get both 75% of the time, we will win and cover.

Leach killed A&M over and over and over again with crossing routes (when he was the coach at Tech).

the Ags would try to play man on the WR's...and it seldom worked

Mississippi State's offense scored just 14 points against Arkansas and got shutout against a Kentucky defense that allowed Ole Miss to score 35 points in regulation and 42 after one overtime the previous week. This would be a great opportunity for our defense to improve.

MSU had a negative turnover margin of 4 to 2 but still managed to beat LSU by 10 points in Baton Rouge. They had that same negative turnover margin against Arkansas, but it came back to bite them. MSU out-gained Kentucky 295 total yards to 157 total yards and had a time of possession of 34:57, but lost the turnover margin of 6 to 1. Through three games, MSU has 14 giveaways (9 interceptions and 5 fumbles) to 5 takeaways (2 interceptions and 3 fumble recoveries) for a turnover margin of -9. I believe we should win the turnover margin by at least 2.

MSU's defense has played better than their offense has in their last two games. Without the pick-sixes, they held Arkansas to 14 offensive points and Kentucky to 17 offensive points. I would like a double-digit win at Starkville, but I won't be surprised if their defense keeps the game close.

I think MSU offense will eventually get their stuff together. Costello can't suck this bad against zone defenses. He was an all pac qb from a pro style offense. Their WRs are not adjusting routes.

They already play defense. It would not take much to get their offense effective, which would make them a tough opponent.
