I think its #5 TU in 1999, which was the Bonfire Game.
21 years.
Seems hard to believe anyone else have something different?

For real. I always had faith in Jimbo, and I'm glad he delivered today.Gramercy Riffs said:Dario said:Our last #5 home win was in 2002???AstroAggie00 said:

Jimbo Fisher is now 7-2 in SEC home games. By contrast, Kevin Sumlin went just 8-14 in SEC home games, including 3-12 against the SEC West. Sumlin's best home win was a 45-38 2-OT win over No. 9 Tennessee in 2016.
We gave Jimbo Fisher a 10-year contract because it takes time to build a team. 3 or 4 years is not enough time to do that, especially in the SEC West.LakeSurfinAg08 said:Iraq2xVeteran said:

These wins are all based on the rankings at the time of the games, not where the teams actually finished. The last time we even beat a top 5 team was a 41-38 road win over then No. 3 7-1 Auburn on 11/8/14, but that Auburn team lost three more games to finish 8-5. This is why I believe we should measure a coach's record over teams that finished ranked.Jbob04 said:
Are they really the number 5 team though? There are two power five conferences that aren't even playing or in the rankings. Serious question
I agree completely, and I wasn't a huge fan of Jimbo from the get go - but I liked the contract move for two reasons: a) it's really dumb to fire someone after just 3-4 years and b) the contract sets a good precedent for the future even if he's not the guy. We will become a lucrative destination for coaches.Iraq2xVeteran said:We gave Jimbo Fisher a 10-year contract because it takes time to build a team. 3 or 4 years is not enough time to do that, especially in the SEC West.LakeSurfinAg08 said:Iraq2xVeteran said:
