Upperclassmen Sumlin recruits don't want to play backup behind underclassmen Jimbo recruits. They can opt out of this season and still have a year or two of eligibility to play for another school of their choice.

Their opt-out decision is in the best interest of both parties in the long term.

The don't have to opt out to keep the year of eligibility. This is a freebie year for everyone.. why wouldn't they stay with the team and play if injury and/or the play of others dictates it? Do they not practice or participate at all with the team if they opt out?

We don't know all the facts and should be slow to judge. He has had injury issues and jimbo said he was hurt again in the press conference. He was '16 recruiting class and all but a few of them are gone.

These quitters who are quitting on their brothers and this school are the worst kind of quitters.

All of these "opt out" players are QUITTERS.

Sad that these quitters are still on scholarship getting a free valuable prestigious education on the university's and student's dime while providing no contributions to A&M.

People. You gotta stop.

Ausbon opted out to go to the nfl. Bad decision but it's his choice.

The other two weren't going to start. Just mad kids throwing a tantrum. Jimbo basically said "see ya" and moved on.

You guys are acting like the jilted chick when it's the other way around.

Been nice to have Hines as a backup but now we are getting younger guys ( jimbo's guys) more work.

It's a good thing

We don't know what's going on with Mr. Chattman. I wish him luck. We'll be fine this year. He was one member of a TEAM, TExas A&M=TEAM. We will win irregardless of him being with us.
