Friend of mine has a son who owns this hat company in Minneapolis. He actually does pretty well and I told him he should do a maroon Texas hat

He made one to see what I thought. I'm asking Texags if this is something he should offer...be honest (I know you will).

I'm gravitating toward smaller, understated logos.

I've played golf for 30 years, and used to wear a couple of Titleist caps. I stopped buying them when I was able to read them on some other dude on the green when I was on the tee.

Would not buy. The "12" just looks dumb.

I like this because it is a little different than the other tiny Texas hats. '47 makes a hat with a small Texas on it. The small cap front logos are really trendy right now (have been for a couple of years now), so it makes sense to go with that size.

Personally, I am not the biggest fan of the pigment dyed caps (at least based on the picture, that's what it looks like). But it's another trendy thing with that worn-in cap look.

Everything's smaller in Texas.

Subtlety is underrated. I like it.

With size of logo, move it to the side of hat.

A logo that small shouldn't be on the center of a hat, and the 12 looks a little weird. An Ag might think it's A&M related, but most people won't have a clue what it means.

Understated is OK- I usually wear a '47 cap with the block T logo that says TEXAS on the top bar of the T and AGGIES on the bottom. (I can't stand that dirty F'in bevel). Non-Ags don't realize it's an A&M logo until they can read it, and that's because it's not mainstream or big x large huge. When you're within 10 feet though, it's obvious it's a classic block T logo.

The problem with this one is that it's understated and doesn't really have an identity outside of the color of the hat. The 12 is too small to associate with A&M. It screams golf hat... except it looks too generic for most golf guys to wear out on the links.

I do like it better than those plain maroon mom hats that say "texas aggies" in cursive lowercase, so it has that going for it.

I like the design, but I don;t like the material of that hat. Looks like dyed denim. Put that on a well fitting trucker hat and it'd be dope.

Edit: Checked out the site and looks like that style is their MO. If that's a given, then I like the design a lot. and really dig the simplicity of the "12" in the Texas.

2. remove the 12
3. highlight a sliver in east Texas, gray(?)
4. profitt???

'47 makes a white and maroon version of the tiny Block T. I want to say there is a navy one as well.

Would be better if instead of the 12 it had a to scale image of Kyle Field within the TX

Also you're paying 30$ for an all-maroon hat with a minuscule texas, if you're gonna spend that much on a damn hat at least have Texas A&M on it

I miss the shape of hats from the 90s, which had a discernable peak to the crown; today's hats look like a yarmulke with a visor to the front.

That hat is too big for that logo. Shrink the hat and he might be onto something.
