After watching our games and a few of the Bama games, I have to say that Auburn appears to be the more physical team and Bama the more athletic team.

We will be able to slow them down on the ground so the game will come down to two critical elements:

1. Can we cover their WR's; those guys are just NFL players on a college team.
2. Can we get positive yardage on first down - creative plays, positive runs, screens, options, etc.

If we win those two areas, we have a shot. If we lose either one, it could be a rough day.

For some reason, I think our players think of Bama as the watermark and will play their best game of the year.... will be a close one, against all the talk of poor execution of late.

The good news is that stopping the run appears to be the weakness of this Bama defense as evidenced by the 279 yards Ole Miss racked up last week. The bad news is that we appear to be painfully unprepared to exploit this weakness.

Guarantee a deal was made to get the LSU game at night. Even if Florida loses to Auburn this week, the LSU game is still going to be #5 vs a top 20 team. And if Florida wins you're talking #5 vs #7 or so.

League will say it's because Florida is on CBS this week but the game is in the swamp vs death valley the week after.

Getting tiring seeing how much the conference caters to Bama & LSU with scheduling.

We didn't look or play well at 2:30 in the heat against Auburn; Bama expects to exploit that same thought process.

The humidity in the southern states is always higher than college station... so they think they have the advantage playing in it. (And they do). Hope for a cool day by then.

Apparently because the world needs to hear Danielson, and Nessler gush all over Bama at 2:30.

I don't know if you have walked outside on any day in the last month but it's been pretty much a record highs. If we are unprepared because of heat we may as well pack it up and call it a year now.

Heat / Humidity will only be an issue for the lard asses that make up about 90% of the fan bases these days.

That doesn't sound accurate.

Humidity is currently 70% in College Station, 48% in Auburn and 52% in Tuscaloosa.

Anyone else notice how many pick plays Bama runs? Seems like on every pass play they have someone running a route to basically take a defender out of the play downfield. I felt like they were getting away with all kinds of **** against Ole Miss.

I didn't say they were right, just their thinking....

And we looked very flat against Auburn at moments. I was 3 rows off the field.... we were not playing with fire in the heat, except A Smith... he was on his toes and ready!

You said "The humidity in the southern states is always higher than college station.."

That's what I'm questioning the accuracy of.

(I don't think the weather plays a part in how Alabama or Auburn think they're going to perform against us)

Unfortunately, I think this game will be pretty ugly. We'll need Bama to self-destruct (5 turnovers) to have a chance. We don't offer anything to pressure them. We have no running game, no deep passing game, we can't put pressure on the QB, we have inferior talent, we have inferior coaching, and Mond isn't especially dangerous with his legs. The only advantage we have is our kickers.

"If we win those two areas, we have a shot. If we lose either one, it could be a rough day."

So we either have a chance to win, or we get blown out. Sounds about right.

We had issues but it's becoming clear that Auburn is a pretty good football team and probably had more to do with the outcome than humidity.

Bama has to have everything go wrong and A&M has to have play the best game imaginable to win by a score.

Bama can score at Will on is us and will easily shut down an offense with no running game. Should be 42-10 easily

wait, what? Did they put a dome over Kyle Field after the expansion?

The heat is a problem for a team with limited depth so big advantage for Bama there. If only that were our biggest worry. We appear to have no ability to run the football on anyone in the SEC.... I dunno... maybe Vandy. Clemson exposed that weakness early and everyone saw it. Auburn and Arkansas used it to their advantage and so will Alabama. Turnovers are usually the hallmark for Bama defenses and I could see this being a game full of Aggie turnovers. Our defense could play the game of their lives and we could still lose by 2-3 TD's.

Jimbo and staff have to figure something out on the OL or a 7-5 season will be next to impossible. They know it but we'll see if they can do anything about it

Only if you consider getting ***** slapped at Kyle field interesting

I think it would be more accurate to say can we "contain" their WRs. If Tua throws 6 TDs, like this week, it's going to be a long day at Kyle Field.

The game will be over midway through the 2nd quarter. There will be nothing interesting about it outside of how much Tua will pad his stats for his Heisman campaign.

And Saban will still not be happy in his, post game presser.

This. We will also get a couple cheap late scores for Jimbos traditional moral victory in the 4th quarter. But this time those scores only pull us to within 20 or so points.

Only way to shut down Bama is to get pressure on Tua every single play. Hit em every chance you get. From the games I have watched he does not handle prssure well if it comes up the middle fast and often.

No one has been able to pressure him a full game because they don't have the d line to shut down his 240lb running back on the outside while beating the Alabama line up the middle.

Last one able to do that was Clemson's d line last year and all those players are now in the NFL.

So all this talk about whether our corners can cover their receivers is irrelevant (they can't) the key isn't whether the receivers can be covered its whether the D line can handle both pressuring Tua all game long every play and tackling the 250lb running back on the outside

Name one thing we've done well on Offense against the 2 good teams we've played.

Bama hasn't had to be sharp... will probably get beveled by them...
