Clemson grad here who was at the game yesterday. Boy was it hot in the stands - kind of typical for what we get on a sunny September day in South Carolina.

Wanted to let y'all know how impressed a lot of Clemson folk are with your attendance at the game. Y'all should be proud that your fan base represents your school so well - both in attendance and in behavior. Every Aggie fan I ran into yesterday was nothing but pure class. I certainly hope that all of you that attended the game were treated well by the Clemson faithful and that we were good hosts.

I really enjoyed seeing the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band! ! Wow! Their halftime show was a real treat for us Clemson fans - your band definitely earned the standing ovation they received.

As far as the game - not much to say that hasn't already been discussed on your board. Mond seemed to be off on a lot of his throws yesterday and that played to Clemson's favor. Trevor Lawrence also missed some throws yesterday but made some big ones when we needed it. Gotta think Lawrence is pressing some from all the expectations that have been heaped on him. It has gotta be tough for 19 year-old kid trying to live up to the exaggerated hype that has been placed on him since last years playoff. Our defense is still getting their sea legs - we still have a lot of work to do - especially at the DT and LB position. Overall, I think both teams will get better as the year goes forward and that these early season match-ups will pay dividends for both teams.

Good luck the rest of the year - especially on November 16th when those lice infested chickens come to visit you at Kyle Field. Please show them no mercy and break the scoreboard on them.

We had a great weekend with y'all as well. Great fans other than booing our injured players.

Good luck the rest of the year but don't think y'all we need much till CFP.

Clemson folks were superb & the hospitality was truly a treat.. Clemson is a very special place

I agree w the sentiment that both teams should get better via iron sharpening iron...

I don't think the Aggies will be great this year, but we should be respectable. We're learning how to fight & play w teams like y'all... It's an uphill battle

I was waiting for this post. We get similar threads every year and it is always bittersweet.

We are lovable losers and champs in hospitality. Sportsmanship is all we have, but we consistently deliver!

Good luck to Clemson the rest of the way.

I was at the game and on campus from 9a-7p. Just the wife and I with no agenda and we had a blast. We spent time everywhere....bars, wandering campus, Lot 2&5, and we were welcomed everywhere. The seats we ended up with were season ticket holders whose wives didn't want to be in the heat. They were just good college football fans. We talked all game. I thank the Clemson family for a great weekend!

Aside from Ags' performance on the field, most enjoyable day on the Clemson campus.

Met so many great Clemson fans, most welcoming. I rank Tiger fans right up there with Nebraska for game day hospitality.

Great to be with y'all.

Learn to take a compliment.

Thank you Clemson fan. I hope we play again with a better QB! Your defense is able to rattle them even when the betting line is -168 to throw two tds

I had a great time as well.

If I could complain, it was the booing at injuries mentioned. But also the fans trying to gloat about the heat like we have never played in such conditions. They wouldn't have known what to do at Fresno 2007 etc. If I heard "you ready for this heat?!" One more time...

I'm glad we played this game. Exposes a lot about us.

Clemson displayed why they are #1. They are especially tough to beat at home, and anywhere with Sunshine making the plays. The defense was better than I expected. They covered well and tackled well. And are loaded with quality athletes. I hope we can schedule a home and home again soon. I want payback.

Thank for the post. It's always good to hear the behavior being good from both sides. And thank you for the well wishes for the rest of the season, goodness knows after that performance we're going to need it.

I'll second everybody else. Clemson fans are without peer in the "quality host" department. Only time I've ever felt so welcomed at an away game was at Auburn in 2012 when we were the new kid in town and they definitely left a great impression......might not be so cordial now.......

Could've done without the booing though......probably just booed Corbin again now that he's out for the year.

That aside, the atmosphere was fantastic and I congratulate them on a well deserved win. That was a great litmus test in terms of how far we still have to go. We'll see them back in the NCG for sure. Good luck to you guys, CU

Clemson fan here who thoroughly enjoyed the trip to College Station last year and your great fan base. I connected with an Aggie fan at the Gameday set last year and invited him and his family to our Clemson tailgate this year and he took me up on it. Your fans travel extremely well and were very loud for much of the game. Thank you to the ones that made the trek and stayed in your seats till the end....a sign of a great fanbase.

I want to address the booing situation and why it happened. Over the past few years, many opposing teams have employed using fake injuries to slow down the tempo of the game and/or get a "free" time-out. I didn't hear anyone boo Corbin or number 92 when they went down. Those were obviously real injuries and serious. When a player goes down and the trainers and coaches huddle around player to obscure cameras and the broadcast goes to a commercial break, it's very coincidental or intentional when the clock countdown for the break reaches around 5 seconds that the player gets up and walks off the field unassisted. I'm not saying this happened with the A&M players on Saturday, but there sure were a lot of suspicious occurrences. Some fans were booing in the second half because they believed the injuries to be fake. I did not boo and never will, but understand we've seen it many times.

Good luck with the rest of your season and I do hope we have a chance to meet again, either in a playoff or another home and home.

PS: My wife wore the Dixie Chicken hat she bought last year at our tailgate this year to honor our new Aggie friends.

Although I am all Clemson, I have been to TAMU several times through the years. My dad is an Aggie (Class of '60) and my brother went for one year in the 80's. I took my own path but greatly admire TX A&M and love the band and the traditions. I have always felt that in many ways but especially culturally TX A&M and Clemson are about as similar as is possible for 2 places almost 1,000 miles apart. I went to the game last year and again this season and Aggie fans are by far the friendliest bunch I've encountered. Hats off to you and best of luck the rest of the season.

Oh two more things, tu sucks (boy I can't stand them) and please pummel the chickens unmercifulnessly; they've earned it.

To be fair on the injury clock stops, it was overwhelmingly aggies and I remember thinking the same thing about Clemson players last year.

I had a hell of a time and loved everything about western South Carolina.

My first trip to Clemson.
Far and away the best pre-game experience I've ever had on the road. We were greeted with cold beer (Busch lite lol) and moonshine and food and smiles all day.
I hope we get to go back in another 15 years. I'll be there. Clemson fans are the best.

*Side note, I was at the South Carolina game in 2014 and their fans sucked. Terrible experience.

Not for nothing, but ultimate respect for you guys. I hope that those that made the trip recognize the similarities in our fanbases.

Hope everyone had a blast, and look forward to a renewal of the series.

Clemson wants us to run the table. Makes their path that much easier than having a crap ton of cupcake wins. Of course they wish us luck the rest of the way. Helps them every time we win.

And by "some" you obviously mean "around 75,000".

We know the drill. We've seen teams do it to us. (Bama in 2013 comes to mind). And I don't doubt that a couple of times your complaint was legit. But yes, you booed Corbin. AND Peevy. I'm not deaf.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that you guys are by and large freaking awesome fans and i hope we get another shot at y'all somewhere down the road. Ags that didn't make this roadie need another chance.

Threads like these make me proud and their is no shortage of them. Seems like Everytime we host a new opponent their fans take the time out of their day to say how much they appreciated their visit. Shows how classy of a fan base we are and is something to hang out hats on

This. The only other ranked team on their schedule (Syracuse) got blown out by Maryland. They need us to be highly ranked for any sort of schedule credibility. Of course, I'm sure as the season progresses that someone else on their schedule will be ranked because someone has to win games in the ACC.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't think it matters much how we do, as far as Clemson is concerned. UNLESS they lose a game. If they have 1 loss, then their schedule comes into play and a win over a top 10-15 A&M team would mean something. If they go undefeated, they are definitely in the playoff (no matter how we do).
