I know this is a weird question but I have always wondered, where do the football players live? Is there a special building for them to live in or do most of them live off campus.

I liked it better when the jocks lived on campus. They seemed more a part of the school, student life, etc. Wofford Cain Hall at times raised more hell than the Corps Dorms.
Aggie Band not the easiest but the Best.

Not owned by A&M. American Campus Communities, the company that owns Callaway properties is partnered with Aggie Athletics. Many freshman athletes stay at Callaway Villas, but most move elsewhere after their freshman year.

NCAA does not allow "athlete dorms". NARPs must have access to live in the same complex as student athletes.

Live in campus dorm until NCAA outlawed special dorms for athletes. Probably all of them off campus now.

Football players were in Walton, I think it was, in the 50s. Others were in Hart.

They resided in Henderson for sure from 1970-74.

Cain Hall was opened in 74. There were no non athletes in Cain Hall in the 70's. What happened after 79 I don't know. The north hall was all football. The south hall was all of the other sports.

The basketball players would have loved Hart, because the shower heads are about 10' off the floor.

I know at ou, the athletic department built a multi-rise dorm for athletes with a theater and cafeteria. Per NCAA rules, I believe 49% of the residence have to be non-athletes but since it was built by the athletic dept., they could control the cafeteria for better food. All freshman athletes had to live in that dorm.
