I'll admit, I don't have a full grasp of what happened, but all I could gather was that this Jorts person was a mod and he was not only manipulating a bunch of users on here, but was also scamming a bunch of unsuspecting people on here via social engineering.

Although I consider myself somewhat internet-savvy, this kind of news still bothers me greatly. Not to mention, there was someone talking about getting doxxed or something.

I think an official announcement or message of a sort needs to be made by the staff regarding this to clear up the issue. Can't help but feel uneasy about this whole thing, even if a lot of peeps here are making funny jokes about it.

Ya pretty sure Brandon addressed this as transparently as possible

1) you really thought your question was special enough to need its own thread?

2) Anyone who willingly gave money to some random guy who spends all of his time hurling childish insults at rival schools on a message board.... I mean, that sucks but should have known better.

Saying you are bothered by it, but addressing the person in question as "this Jorts person" doesn't really jibe.
