Sumlin owes a LOT to Johnny and Mike Evans and an incredible o-line, all of which were Sherman's recruits.
Obviously this sucks watching us lose two weeks in a row, but let's save real judgement until a couple of years from now once Jimbo has all of his guys and have had some time to soak in the system. Maybe I'm just too forgiving.

The sample of Jimbo at A&M is way too small to compare to Sumlin at this point. Jimbo isn't a coaching fraud like the other though. One has a National championship. The other does not.

There is zero doubt we aren't where we ought to be. But we also know there is no way our talent was ready this year. Mond hasn't worked out, but likely he is our QB1 for a good reason.
And if so, giving him the opportunity to lead the team was not a terrible choice. Maybe passing on Stidham in hindsight might seem a poor choice. But the first thing that needed to stop was playing headgames with our QBs. It really doesn't work.
