Just recently started betting on bovada and surprisingly won a good amount. Any users know how long it usually takes to receive winnings in the mail?

Following bc I'm thinking about using bovada.

How was sign up process, etc?

I haven't used Bovada in years and one of the reasons was because it took like 3 weeks to receive my payouts. I also got mad because one time I hit a huge payout (pure luck, not a brag) and it turns out they cap how much you can takeout at once. That was the final straw.

They would also send the shadiest checks ever from a Chinese bank, with instructions to not try and cash them inside a bank. Gotta love gambling.

2 or 3 weeks usually. much faster than sportsbook.com

but dont bother cashing out. you'll just have to pay the deposit fee when you need to reload. just accept that every dollar in there is already gone & enjoy it. I bet horses on bovada since our texas limited government Republicans wont let me legally bet horses online.

I am in my last year of school and miraculously turned 250 into 6K (also pure luck) so I am gonna do everything I can to get the money to pay off loans haha. But I have read some different things of peoples experiences so I'm not totally sure what to expect

Take it out in several smaller checks. Dont raise a red flag with a 6k check from a foreign bank. Wells Fargo has always accepted my bovada checks, but you have to deposit in person. Cant do it via mobile. Capital One also doesnt work via mobile.

Nailed it. Great mobile gambling but... You better be doing it for fun and not try get paid out big.

Unless things have changed, they cap it at 3k withdrawals, and I don't think I was allowed to withdraw for a few weeks after doing so. It really pissed me off, because obviously they just want you to keep betting the money in your account... And because I'm dumb, that's what I did.

Appreciate the comments. You guys have better options to consider or are they all problematic?

Over the past few weeks, I turned $500 into $5,500 on Bovada. I requested a $3,000 payout last night. We'll see.

I requested the same a few days ago, interested to see when you get the check and if it cashes. Good luck!

A couple of months ago I got lucky and won some money. Took the free bank transfer- (free every 3 or 6 months) through WFargo. Hit my account in 8 days. Not a big fan of the the skinny foreign checks, I feel like I am doing something shady when I go to deposit.

I've used Bovada for years. Never had an issue with the checks in the past. I haven't done checks in a couple yrs since they started Bitcoin deposit and withdrawals. That's the way to go. If you're doing it another way you're doing it wrong.

2 weeks max. Used them for 5+ yrs

I'd rather take my chances with a check not clearing than give them my checking account. Also just wait until our neighbor states have legal sports betting in their casinos but texas politicians wont allow it here.

My experience with Bovada was painful. They sent me a check from a Canadian bank. The check was for $3,000. I went to deposit the check and the banker googled the Canadian bank. Google said the bank was a SCAM so they wouldn't take the check. After I got home I googled the bank myself and yep, that's what they said, SCAM.

I emailed Bovada and was pissed they sent me a scam check. They said it was not a scam bank. I begged Bovada to cancel the check and send me a western union transfer. Nope, they said the check was good.

After about 3 weeks of begging, my bank finally agreed to accept the deposit, but put a month hold on any withdrawal. I was happy at least they took it. My money was finally released and all was good, but I am still pissed at Bovada for putting me through the hassle. Don't send checks from a bank that google says is a scam.

I haven't bet at Bovada since.

You guys need to deal with a live person who pays and collects in cash every week although bets are made in line

Y'all need to withdraw via Bitcoin. Quick and dont have to worry about the checks.

Bitcoin has hefty fees now but if you have that option, by all means do so and go around the shady bank notes. I recommend Uphold as your transfer medium for moving between Bovada and a hardware wallet.

Also, don't forget to pay your taxes on winnings.

Not really true about the fee. It is around $2 for a Bitcoin transaction. If you are worried about the nominal fee now use Bitcoin Cash. It's cheaper and faster anyway. That's what I use actually. I just said Bitcoin because I assumed most haven't heard of Bitcoin Cash.

I've started using PostItPlayIt and have enjoyed the head to head competition element of the betting. They just created an App, which seems to work pretty well. I think they're still working out some bugs though.

If you have coinbase, transfer it over to GDAX (I think it's called coinbasePro or something) and do a limit sell and you don't pay fees on limit sells or buys. It took maybe 10 minutes to hit my coinbase account, then about another day or two to hit my bank account from GDAX.

That is exactly how I do it. All I pay is the very low virtually free Bitcoin Cash transfer fee and the $ is in my bank i n a few days.

I've used Bovada for 2 years now as my primary sports book. Unbelievably great customer service, good lines, and great promos. I have cashed out through bitcoin, bitcoin cash, check, and bank transfer. Every one of them were quick and easy except for check. The check took 10 - 24 days depending on how busy they are, but i HIGHLY ADVISE getting in to bitcoin and deposting/withdrawing through BTC for regular amounts of money. At one point I needed to pull $18k or so of winnings out of Bovada and used the Bank Wire Tranfer method and it was super simple and effective. Two lump sums in back to back weeks and 14 days later, it was all in my bank account.

Bitcoin has no fees for deposits/withdraws. The only fees you'll pay is on Coinbase (or whatever wallet you use) converting BTC to USD (less than $10 flat fee in every occasion I've ever dealt with, normally $2.99). It's not as sketchy as it sounds, and you can get your winnings same-day most of the time.
