Maybe. Maybe South Carolina.
Its a weird year in the ACC. Duke and BC are going to be tough. They're not going through this schedule unscathed.
Current rankings would say Fl State, but I think they are over rated and will be exposed

When we beat Clemson this weekend, the credibility of the ACC will be greatly damaged. They better pray Pitt beats Penn State.
8 Teams: FSU (Samford), Louisville (Indy St), Miami (Sav St), Syracuse (Wagner), Va Tech (W&M), BC (Holy Cross), Wake (Towson) and NC State (Ga State) all play FCS this week.
That leaves:
Clemson (A&M), Duke (NWern), Ga Tech (SoFl), No Car (East Car), Va (Indy) and Pitt (#10 Penn St) as only 6 teams playing this week against FBS teams.
8 Teams: FSU (Samford), Louisville (Indy St), Miami (Sav St), Syracuse (Wagner), Va Tech (W&M), BC (Holy Cross), Wake (Towson) and NC State (Ga State) all play FCS this week.
That leaves:

Their going to want to make a good impression on the polls.
We lost to Wake Forest.
Would not have lost to WF with a real coach like we have now. The future looks good finally. Even if we have a couple of slow games against our next 3 games.
It's amazing what a win over Northwestern State will do for a program looking for success.
I'm not saying Jimbo is or is not our savior.
But there is always excitement with a new coach.. everything that is behind said about Jimbo compared to Sumlin... the exact same was said when comparing Sumlin to Sherman.

For me has nothing to do with the last game and everything to do with the coaches attitude. Any team sport or business requires discipline and focus. To me listening and watching show me that with this coach and last years team we don't lose to WF. That is all I was saying.
Too early to tell. Georgia Tech, Louisville, Florida State, NC State who always seems to get close to spoiling a season every year, and South Carolina might be a legit contender for sec the east this year if you believe the hype.
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

Addressing the OP, yes, Texas A&M is Clemson's toughest game.
Hearing good things about Open Date this year.

1) at FSU. They still have incredible talent. That will never change.
2) at Texas A&M.
3) at Boston College. They have a number of guys who will drafted. Their DE is a Top 10 selection.
4) Chickens. We will see if they are any better.

Your number 3 should be Duke. If Daniel Jones is healthy, that game has upset alert written all over it

But only because Johnny was our QB and only for a short period. It took a few years after he left for eveything to be clear wrt to Sumlin's abilities in a P5 program.
Jimbo is on a whole different level.
Possibly @Florida State will end up being their toughest, if not @A&M or South Carolina, though we'll learn more about FSU tonight.
Of course we're going to be the toughest opponent on Clemson's schedule. And their only loss, too.

I am not saying we are world beaters, but FSU has some serious issues from what I can see tonight. They are going to get tripped up a few times this year.

Jimbo has multiple conference championships and a natty, so saying he is better than Sumlin, who had and still has neither of those, is a legitimately objective statement. Saying Jimbo is better is not the subjective comparison of Sumlin to Sherman.
