Downtown Bryan will hold its fourth annual Cheers to Craft Beer event on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. The event will feature craft beer tastings inside of the Downtown retail stores and restaurants. One Cheers to Craft Beer ticket includes a keepsake tasting glass and a map of all of the participating merchants in Downtown Bryan. Tickets can be purchased online here!

If you haven't been to the Aggieland Micro District, now is a great time to do so. Located off of Dowling Road in College Station you can find Perrine Winery, Rio Brazos Distillery, and New Republic Brewing. Rio Brazos Distillery offers tastings of their Texas Bourbon and Whiskey; all uniquely named.

Perrine Winery makes all of their wine onsite, coming up with unique concoctions like their Zombie wines (something you'd want to enjoy during the apocalypse). New Republic Brewing has cold, refreshing beers on tap at very reasonable prices. Popular ones like, "Kadigan" and "Dammit Jim!" make the hot weather bearable. Plus, with their interactive stage and ongoing live music performances, there is always something going on in the Aggieland Micro District.

Sorry I'll be in Rome

My current favorite brewery is Burial in Asheville, NC. The Surf Wax is the best IPA I've had in a while.

Firestone Walker in Los Angeles, CA. The Saison, Opals, & Coffee Parabola are personal favorites & if you are into IPAs they have some of the more exotic that are still palatable I've sampled.

My favorite has to be Santa Fe Brewing's Happy Camper IPA.

Laughing Lab, Bristol Brewery, Colorado Springs

Galway stout in Galway Ireland where I currently am.

Dry Dock Brewery in Aurora, CO

their Seasonal Double Vanilla Porter, sooooo good.

Southern Star Conspiracy Theory IPA

Stone, Artifex, and Mother Earth make some of my favorite beers. SD, SC area

The Eola School brewery's IPA is the only IPA I truly like.

Westvleteren 12 is awesome but impossible to get so I'll go with something more attainable like Avery Rumpkin.

I've traveled all over the US, and have become quite the beer dork.

The best craft beer is made by Great Notion in Portland Oregon.

They make super NEIPAs, incredible stouts and some awesome sours.

Their luponic distortion series was pretty good.

Monkish and Trillium are two very high on my list to try. The buddy I go to Great Notion with said Monkish was even better.

And I have a colleague in Boston who posts Trillium stuff on Untapp'd, looks amazing

Yall do know that about 1/3 to 1/2 of all "craft" beers are bottled and distributed by one if the large beer companies right?

Both are solid. Anytime I have to go to LAX, the growler is packed for the drive south. And Trillium was 10 minutes from a supplier I used to visit south of Boston. Luggage always came back full of cans.
