If you read down further, Hamilton denies it had anything to do with Manziel. I had seen where some Ticats fans were speculating about trading his rights to Montreal (I don't remember what their rationale was), but, maybe not. I was kind of hoping his rights would get traded to someone more serious about signing him.

I'm not sure what the motivation would be to straight up lie about Johnny Manziel.

I'll grant the article says "pressed about the topic", but the quoted response wasn't a cheeky answer. It was a straight up denial. ""We still hold onto (Manziel's) negotiation rights. It has nothing to do with what we did today."

Maybe. But that would be damn weird.

They would get a lot more if Johnny was in mix. Boy is worth a lot of tickets,tv views,and merchandise sales.

I assume Johnny will either be invited to an NFL camp/signed or going with Canada very soon right?

Montreal would be an upgrade vs Hamilton, correct?

Kyle Allen and Kenny Hill are both in a NFL facility right now and Johnny is not. Boy better start getting familiar with his Tom Horton's order and scout out his favorite Moxie's.

I think you're slightly overexaggerating Johnny's draw outside of the greater College Station area. People in Canada watch hockey and curling, not some American punk trying to make a "comeback".

It's my understanding that training camp opens on Wednesday, May 16th.

Now - will he be in Montreal with Sherman or Hamilton with Jones (or on some beach with Bre)?

Believe it or not, they broadcast the CFL outside of Canada, and there will be more of said broadcasting if Johnny starts playing. You are exaggerating his lack of draw. (not sure the "over" is really necessary)
