Judging by the # of stars on your post, it appears he's currently a 3 star recruit.

Criticizing Turner's choices on Oline is just stupid.

The dudes got a long long proven track record of putting guys into the nfl as top picks.

I've got no issue with any recruit he offers.

Well for one, he's from the state of Oklahoma, and was committed to OK-State for quite a while. Usually programs back off of prospects who aren't looking around and are committed to an in state program. Wolford didn't start looking around until recently and Turner snagged him.

I know it must sound like a broken record around here, but if there is ONE guy in college football who knows offensive linemen, it's Turner - so trust him. Plus look at Wolford's film. Kid is a mauling monster, and plays both DT and OT, so athletic as well.

This was kind of my thought as well. In-state kid who shuts it down early might not be a good use of recruiting resources when thinking in terms of flip percentage. It will be interesting now to see if more schools come calling.

However, I don't know if I have quite the same faith in Turner that you have. Matthews and Joeckel were both elite recruits, and (though to a lesser degree) Ogbuehi was really freaking good coming out of high school. If memory serves, all of those dudes were ranked substantially higher coming out than any of the guys we have currently commited, with the possible exception of Ogbuehi. I don't doubt Turner's ability to develop elite talent, but it will be an interesting case study to see what he does in the short term with the talent we have.

Jarvis Harrison was drafted and he was a 2 star out of Navasota that nobody wanted. I don't think Turner cares how many stars they have or what they rank...

Jarvis had qualification issues which is why he wasnt ranked higher by recruiting services
